Coach Wardle's basketball camp is today from 2-5pm at Metamora High School - I hear it is still open so if anyone still has kids....prob can just come at 2pm (unofficial)
Coach Wardle's first camp this fall with kids is an incredible success..
3 to 4 times as many kids as they thought they'd have - gym was absolutely packed - and about half the team (players) helping out...
Kudos Coach W - this is a great idea...even saw Aaron Zobrist with his kids there
Only current Bradley Braves were involved in the dunk contest....
And since I have seen video, I know which Brave is was, and it's not who most would guess. He was the next-to-last commitment for 2015.
a couple people PM'ed me but I meant for fans to try guessing on the board....
Several of the new Braves were very impressive with the dunks (all of them can throw it down, even the 5-11 Joel Okafor)
- but one was head and shoulders better, such that the entire throng of 80 kids went wild and even the other players mobbed him..
Yes, it was Scottie James who won the dunk contest in front of the campers, but he also looked really athletic in doing so.
I think people will be surprised as very little has ever appeared in print about Scottie.
Coach Wardle is excited about him and confirms in conversations at the receptions, that he is a good shooter and is STILL GROWING!!
As a junior in high school Scottie was barely hitting 6-4 - and he was still listed as 6-4 going into his senior season - LINK - LINK
Then by the end of his senior season he was 6-6 - LINK
Then by the time we were recruiting him late in spring - he was touted as 6-7 - LINK
And now - the latest adjustment to the roster gets Scottie listed as 6-8 - LINK - LINK
