won't be available to start training camp - his market value is tanking - he's been shipped from the Pacers to the Clippers, to the Heat to the Suns to the Pistons - five different teams in barely over a year- without being healthy for a single game.

Sources- Danny Granger to be waived by Pistons - has never gotten his knee healthy
The center agreed not to extend his rookie contract, a move that gives the Pistons almost $13 million more to use in free agency next summer.

Granger now waived by the Pistons - hasn't played much of a lick in any of the last 3 stops he's made and now may be done with his career unless claimed as a FA
With the salary he's signed for and the frailty of his legs- gotta wonder who'd take the chance - and yet someone did with Shaun Livingston, so you never know

With Danny Granger at risk of possibly not playing at all this season - it appears that this could be the first NBA season since 2005-2006 that did not have a past Bradley player on an NBA roster,
and only the 6th such season since 1958,
and since 1948 there have been only 13 seasons without a past Bradley Brave.
Ray Ramsey played 1948-1949
Elmer Behnke played 1951-1952
Don Anielak & Bob Carney played 1954-1955
Barney Cable played 1958-1964
Chet Walker played 1962-1975
Steve Kuberski played 1969-1978
Roger Phegley played 1978-1984
Mitchell Anderson played 1982-1985
David Thirdkill played 1982-1987
Hersey Hawkins played 1988-2001
Anthony Parker played 2006-2012
Danny Granger played 2005-2015

Speaking of Danny Granger, did anyone else catch the broadcasters on the video stream of the Bradley-Delaware game talking about great past Bradley players? They mentioned Chet Walker, Jim Les, Hersey Hawkins, and Danny Granger!
As most know, Danny Granger was recruited and signed by Jim Molinari, and his first season was the last year Molinari was at Bradley (2001-2002). Granger did return to Bradley for his sophomore season after considering a transfer, but he reportedly was swayed by Jim Les' pro-style of coaching. But conflicts soon arose between Granger and Les, and he departed in mid-December and transferred to New Mexico after it was proven that New Mexico assistant Duane Broussard and head coach Ritchie McKay (both who had been assistants under Molinari) had illegally called Granger numerous times to coax him to transfer.
Initially, Broussard had claimed he only called Granger "to wish him a happy birthday". But the Albuquerque Journal obtained University cell phone records through a FOIA request, which proved that Broussard and McKay had called Granger, Granger's father, and his high school coach dozens of times. The NCAA ruled illegal contact (tampering) had occurred and sanctioned the UNM coaches with what basically was slap on the wrist.
McKay continued to deny any tampering after being proven to have been lying and was indeed guilty, but ironically, some time later, on McKay's own personal bio pages he bragged proudly that he was the coach who had "recruited" Danny Granger to come to New Mexico and took credit for getting him to the NBA.
In reality, he could not have recruited Granger unless he did so illegally! Any contact of any kind at any time while Granger was under scholarship at Bradley (and BU never did release him from his scholarship for that entire school year of 2002-2003) would have constituted illegal tampering. Yet after denying it vehemently, he later bragged about it!
