regarding past Bradley recruit and Bradley commit Michael Tucker....
he has played two games for John A. Logan College...
In his first game he came off the bench and went 8-12 - 20 pts, 4 rebs, 3 blocks, an asst, & a steal - and appears to have been the best player on the floor in Logan's lopsided 136-74 win
then in game 2 he again came off the bench and put up 12 pts/9 rebs - and was the leading rebounder in the game.
Wonder if he'd still have interest in Bradley.....
Tucker again was star of the game
Has helped Logan to 8-0 and avg 18pt/9reb/62% FG%
Michael Tucker with 15 pts & 14 rebs & 10 assists - off the bench - last night - avg. 16ppg/9rpg/59% FG%/42% from 3-pt
Daeshon Francis with 25 & 15 in his last two outings- avg 17ppg/6 rpg/4 apg/38% from 3-pt
and both Kenwood HS kids, Zion Morgan & Nick Robinson did not sign where they committed and have reopened recruitment.
Both had 17 points in Kenwood's 87-38 win over Chicago Julian.
Valpo then replaced Zion Morgan with the Micah Bradford commit.
Nate Taphorn did not play a single minute in Northwestern's last game. In their five games he's played just 46 minutes - LESS total playing time as Scottie James has gotten here.
Northwestern has engineered a remarkable schedule to make their record look good.
VERY likely they will finish the non-conference part of their schedule at 11-2 and NOT have beaten a single team with a winning record!
UMass-Lowell, Fairfield, Columbia, New Orleans, SIUE, Chicago State, Mississippi Valley State, Sacred Heart, Loyola-MD, DePaul, even Mizzou - all terrible losing teams
Only UNC & Va Tech have winning records & they will go 0-2 in those two games.
been having a little fun with the idea that hopefully Nate Taphorn might want to play closer to home as a grad transfer...
but last night someone must have sent Northwestern head coach Chris Collins decided to sent Nate Taphorn in for 20 minutes, and Nate went 3-5 from the arc, scored 11 pts, grabbed 3 rebs and had an asst
...and just coincidentally Northwestern beats Virginia Tech 81-79 in OT- which they wouldn't have done without Nate's performance.
not sure if he played Thursday but Morgan Park got absolutely annihilated by a Chicago team named Solorio..
They lost 82-42 - Solorio has a 6-5 FRESHMAN named Kahlil Whitney who scored 35 points (ALL IN THE FIRST HALF!!!)
- the halftime score was 64-19 and I suspect the Solorio guys rested their 1st & 2nd string in the 2nd half.
Reached for clarification Tuesday by MLive, Chuck Albrecht said his son could be healthy enough to play in 2016-17 and said all available options are being considered.
one other thing--
I looked back at all the rosters at Green Bay from 2010 til now...and it appears that in all that time - really almost 6 recruiting classes that Brian Wardle was in charge of, he really only brought in two juco kids - there were a couple more that had "stopovers" at juco but who were in effect, DI transfers, like Cougill...
So if that's his pattern - then I don't expect a lot of juco activity even tho we have heard that our staff has, on occasion, recruited juco events.
Justin Thomas - blowing up - LINK
Daniel Soetan - averaging double digits against junior college opponents - LINK
Daeshon Francis - team leader, 17.2 ppg - LINK
Richardson Maitre - putting up 20 or more every night - LINKLINK
Zion Morgan - numbers have fallen off - LINKLINK
If Okafor doesn't work out, next year would be a good year to bring in a junior college point guard. This year looks to be very rough and I would hate to see next year be the same.
I am sure the coaches see what we see, plus they see a lot more in practices.
I am sure there will be some turnover at the end of the season, and I don't think the recruiting is finished. Clearly this team needs improved ball handlers and passers.
-at Missouri-West Plains (where David Collins came from) is a kid named Ngor Barnaba...
way under the radar, but...all the 6-9 kid is doing is putting up 17ppg & 9rpg while hitting 52% from the field & 45% from the 3-pt arc.
-Daeshon Francis - former Brian Wardle kid at Green Bay- still averaging 17.6 ppg
Then within driving range- numerous juco kids are hitting prolifically from 3-pt range and shooting at 50% or even higher...
I don't know about their whole skill set - but this kind of shooting maybe deserves a look?
Bigby-Williams carried his team to another win to go 18-0!
Kavell Bigby-Williams had 19 pts, 9 rebs, 5 blocks

Daeshon Francis put up 20 & 7 last night on just 10 shots in 20 minutes in blowout (74-41) over Howard
Michael Tucker had 14 & 10 in 86-66 beating of Lewis & Clark
If Coach Wardle is still looking for a junior college point guard, here is one worth considering. And he is very familiar with Bradley, since Bradley recruited him out of prep school- Charles Tucker
Charles Tucker was recruited by Geno Ford, and was offered. He even visited Bradley, but eventually, after Bradley signed Tramique Sutherland, the Bradley interest dropped off. He committed to Tennessee State. He spent 1 season at Tennessee State (2014-15), then left and transferred to Panola Community College in Texas. This season at Panola, Tucker leads the team in scoring with 13.2 ppg, he's shooting 46.2% from three, and he's averaging 8.8 assists per game. Last night in his team's win, Tucker had 21 points and 14 assists.
He currently ranks 4th in the country in NJCAA junior college with his 8.8 assists per game-
....
Richardson Maitre - putting up 20 or more every night -..
latest national ranking has West Oaks - Koch Bar's former school & BU recruit Richardson Maitre's current school - ranked at #43 nationally
but they took on a top-ten team over the weekend with the highest ranked unsigned big man in the nation and West Oaks won 62-48 Richardson Maitre had 22 points - right about at his average.
