Talked with someone who is friends with Coach Wardle and he told this person that he's very happy with where the team is at right now. This person didn't want to go into any more detail about what coach said other than he's really excited about the point guard from Memphis. And I do think this coaching staff doesn't want much out there about potential recruits as they seem to specialize in trying to find diamonds in the rough.

our staff was in Iowa today scouting juco kids
Here's their players & stats
my guess - perhaps Emmitt Holt, the ex-IU Hoosier ? But quite possibly some of the others.. Rian Holland was once a Wichita Shocker
...he and DeBerry each hit about 50% from the 3-pt arc - and DeBerry was once commmitted to UW-Green Bay to play for Coach Wardle then backed out & went juco!

But, he remains uncommitted and one of the top uncommitted juco point guards in the nation!
He averages 14 ppg and hits 42% from the arc......
and he is 2nd in the nation with nearly nine assists per game and an Assist/Turnover Ratio of 3:1
He had visited Bradley but i do not know the current status of whether he holds an offer...

there are certainly others but here's the ones I am aware of that we have pursued recently
2016 recruits:
Kavell Bigby-Williams - we have offered - leaning towards bigger schools
LINK
Freddie McSwain, Jr. - just offered & just visited
LINK -
Hunter Rhodes - from Canton - a very good shooter
Rodney Culver - just recently offered
David Burrell - a new name - not much connects him to BU yet
Justin Thomas - Indianapolis Pike point guard first mentioned here over 3 months ago - LINK--> also here- LINK LINK- probably backed off now that we have a commit from PG Darrell Brown
Justin Roberts - of Lawrence, KS HS - but he's not listing an offer from us
Daeshon Francis -
Richardson Maitre - Offered by & VISITING Boston College soon
Zion Morgan - decommitted from Valpo - reopened recruitment - we are likely also watching his HS teammate Nick Robinson
Nick Robinson - gotta see these new highlights!!! - LINK
Xavier Bishop - point guard from Springfield - also putting up very good numbers
Nate Taphorn - could be available in 2016 as a grad-transfer - another link - already talking about graduation...
Charles Tucker
Daniel Soetan - LINK
Godwin Boahen - just got offer from UC-Davis!
Derrick Walker - moved to Sunrise Prep, still mentions Bradley offer
Ben Coupet - still available - not sure if "qualified"- one article says he is now 6-9- but barely any mention of him since before Christmas - here's one comment from Sun Times writer
Leland Green - just committed to Hawaii

Updated, with the guys who have verballed - like Xavier Bishop (UMKC) & Godwin Boahen (UIC) - removed and a few new names added with links
..and check out the newest updates on several of the recrits
2016 recruits:
Kavell Bigby-Williams - we have offered - leaning towards bigger schools - LINK - Colorado, Oregon, Texas all pushing hard
Freddie McSwain, Jr. - just offered & just visited - LINK - will visit Kansas State this coming weekend & Indiana April 18
Hunter Rhodes - from Canton - a very good shooter
Rodney Culver - just recently offered
David Burrell - a new name - not much connects him to BU yet
Jerrell DeBerry - shot almost 50% from 3-pt but just broke hand so may be off radar
Emmitt Holt - ex-IU Hoosier - we went there to visit
Rian Holland - ex-Wichita Shocker, shot 50% from 3-pt - we went there to visit
Justin Thomas - Indianapolis Pike point guard first mentioned here over 3 months ago - LINK--> also here- LINK LINK- probably backed off now that we have a commit from PG Darrell Brown
Daeshon Francis - scarcity of offers is kinda troubling, someone knows something - even has his handlers begging for offers
Richardson Maitre - Offered by & VISITING Boston College soon
Zion Morgan - decommitted from Valpo - reopened recruitment, playing spring AAU - strangely NOT getting offers - usually a disturbing sign- we are likely also watching his HS teammate Nick Robinson
Nick Robinson - gotta see these new highlights!!! - LINK
Nate Taphorn - could be available in 2016 as a grad-transfer - another link - already talking about graduation...but gets absolutely ZERO respect at Northwestern and PT not likely to improve
Charles Tucker - again, highly touted but very scarce offers - maybe land at Texas State
Daniel Soetan - LINK - stock has fallen - no new offers in months
Derrick Walker - moved to Sunrise Prep, still mentions Bradley offer- still unsigned and getting very few offers - a bad sign
Ben Coupet - still available - not sure if "qualified"- the lack of much recruiting news on such a talented kid usually means bad academics

Bradley coaches are in Florida tomorrow (Fri 4/8 ) for a private workout with Jerome Merritt at Oldsmar, Florida.

The remaining talent pool from junior colleges and from high schools and prep schools right now is so thin, and the leftover available players Bradley could get so borderline in ability to help next year, that it might make more sense to our coaches to hold one or both scholarships and focus on recruiting the much deeper class of 2017. Since we will have no seniors next season, if they use both available 2016 scholarships now, there would be none available for next year (unless more players leave).
