Dave Reynolds' report
btw - I think one of the reasons people love this event - is that it is so easy to talk with dozens of different people who share the same passion of Bradley basketball.
If you talk Bradley basketball at work or elsewhere - it's still fun but it's chattin with only a few at a time. But here it's a dozen again and again.
Even in the parking lot before the doors open you can talk to the 5-6 people right in front of you and the 5-6 right behind.
Then the same thing while going thru the food line (which stretched all the way around the hall) and then once again when you sit down, there's a completely different 6-8 people on either side and across the table, and same when you go up for drinks or get up and move around - not to mention that people you perhaps haven't seen in a year will spot you and come over...as well as the staff, coaches and players who sure seemed to be having a great time.
I also got quite a few comments from people who said they were appreciative of the info they get from the message boards or they'd never have any idea what's going on and wouldn't have known anything about the new players.
One quote in the newspaper from Luuk van Bree-
Said freshman forward Luuk van Bree: “It’s amazing. It’s great to see how obsessive the fans are. You can feel the energy.”
I sat next to assistant coach Drew Adams - he was also impressed with the enthusiastic crowd...
Adams talked of just getting back from a week-long recruiting trip to Canada and out east.
