To put it into perspective after the first five league games last year against a nearly identical schedule (the only difference is this year E'ville at home instead of Creighton, MSU instead of @ SIU and flip-flop locale for UNI):
2006 2-3
2007 1-3

Guys, face it, if our guards don't have their "A" game on any given night, we will have a hard time winning that game...

A little more perspective -
And Bradley is missing it's leading scorer this year.....
and the Missouri Valley is better this year than last year....
and Bradley's leading returning scorer, rebounder, and shot blocker left school early and wasn't replaced.

You are right coach, here is more for perspective:
The Missouri Valley's RPI right now is #3 in the country according to Ken Pomeroy and #2 according to RealTimeRpi.com-
RealTimeRPI.com: RPI, RPI Rankings, college basketball rpi, Real Time NCAA College Basketball and Sports Ratings - the most accurate independent analysis of the NCAA college basketball Rating Percentage Index (RPI)
Either way, the MVC's RPI is just 0.0058 behind the top conference this year, the Pac 10 (a conference the MVC finished ahead of last year).
But at the end of last year, the MVC was rated #6--
So that would seem like clear evidence that the MVC has gotten a lot better since last year.
But even more amazing, the MVC's actual numerical RPI of .5839 this year is significantly better than every conference last season (the #1 conference, the Big Ten had an RPI of .5802-
That means the MVC of this year would easily be the #1 conference in the country if it was placed into last year's computations.
So it seems logical that unless a team actually improved somewhat they would not be expected to do as well in conference play, even though they did well in non-conference play. Isn't that just what we are seeing? No surprise!

BU is looking more to the game on Saturday.
Really?
I had no idea.
I was trying to be funny - offer up a little comic-relief.
