Oddly, former Bradley recruit Marquell Fraser has played very poorly since he committed to VCU
Last night he scored just 2 points while Hill Academy's leading scorer was Jeremiah Usiosefe (14 pts) - a WIU signee
I have not seen a game in the past 2 months that Fraser has had double digits...maybe he's injured?
HUNTINGTON - On Friday night, Fairland's Chase Fisher came into a Huntington Invitational boys basketball game against Hill Academy from Canada and saw himself matched up with UNLV recruit Justin

But VCU also has senior 6-5 wing player Jordan Burgess who returns from a 25-win squad that started half their games and was 3rd among returning players in playing time...
so we'll see if Marquell can get much playing time - there's already some talk of redshirt there...
not worried, just info on a former BU recruit...if he is unfortunate to flop at VCU, then perhaps some kid down the road may avoid the same mistake so many kids from Matt Roth to Devan Bawinkel to Christian Romine to Stan Simpson, Anthony Fields, Darius Smith, Cully Payne, Beas Hamga, Anthony Booker, Peyton Allen, and many others did aiming too high..
wow - the biggest upset of the exhibition season so far --
VCU (picked at the top of the A-10 and in the Top 40 preseason)
just got beat by a DII exhibtion opponent named Queens College
Queens 75 - VCU 73
VCU had 25 turnovers and highly touted freshman Marquell Fraser did not play at all in the exhibition game as VCU went mid-season levels of 30+ minutes for their starters in this game.
well, this one comes as absolutely NO surprise... it was pretty obvious he was aiming too high..
Former Bradley recruit Marquell Fraser - who at one time was one of our very top targets --
instead went to a loaded VCU team and didn't play much his freshman year - now he's unhappy and leaving to transfer..

After 1 season at VCU, one-time Bradley recruit Marquel Fraser has decided to transfer to Midland Junior College in Texas, and he'll be eligible as a 2018 recruit with 2 years of eligibility at Division I.
well, Marquell made a huge mistake going to a place where they were 10 to 11 players deep in quality players who were ahead of him in the rotation...
I would have loved to have his talent here but what will likely happen is that he will have a good season at Midland then make the same mistake again and go to another top school and sit the bench...
Bigby-Williams, McSwain, Davante Cooper, and many others all keep making that mistake then transferring again..
