Creighton has been controlling the action way too much. They are fast and very skilled.

In NCAA soccer, the clock counts down, rather than up.

I know that is the routine for the official clock in NCAA soccer, while in every other level of soccer, the clock counts the opposite direction.
But then why does the clock count up (not down) on NCAA soccer matches that ESPN3 has broadcast previously?- Do they reverse it sometimes for the sake of the fans?
Here are some previously broadcast matches, and the clock counts up! (click ahead to past the 4:00 mark of the video to see the start of the match)
Kentucky vs. Northern Kentucky men's soccer from 8/16-

and this women's soccer match, also from 8/16 in which the clock counts up, not down (click ahead to about the 25 minute mark of the video when the game clock is posted on the screen)

BTW- Creighton scored again, and Bradley now trails 3-0.

The "score bug" on the screen is tied in directly to the scoreboard controller for our ESPN3 broadcasts. I can't speak for how the bug has been managed at other locations, but in the previous ESPN3 broadcasts from Shea Stadium for the MVC Tournaments, the score bug has been manually operated with a guestimate on the clock.

Thanks for the explanation. That is what I suspected when I saw that other broadcasts reverse the clock.

BP - thanks for the job well done -
was planning on being at the game but with the weather, the delay and the start that didn't happen 'til almost 8pm & the kids having first day of school this morning on the early heat schedule-
decided to head back home & watch on the ESPN3 - and was very pleased with the quality of the broadcast....
