  • BU at Wichita State

The Bradley Braves (10-5, 1-2) play at Wichita State (9-4, 0-2) tonight.
    Time: 7:05 p.m. (CST)
Wichita State has lost 4 straight games.

The game is not televised on broadcast TV and is not available on BUBraves.tv.
However, it is available on the Wichita State live video streaming service. However, it appears you have to buy the monthly pass for $9.95 to get the Bradley game. They do not have an option to purchase games individually--

    BU-Wichita game notes from BUBraves.com--
Bradley owns the eighth-toughest schedule in the country to date and that record looks to improve as the Braves (10-5, 1-2) will play four of their next five games on the road against a quintet of teams that have combined for a 45-18 (.714) record to date this year.? The challenge begins Thursday when Bradley visits Wichita State in the first meeting of Missouri Valley Conference teams that played in the previous year's NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 since 1956.

The video feed was the worst I have ever seen!! We barely got to see Bradley on Offence the whole game! Absolutely terrible!
    Can we start winning soon?

That was the worst video feed I have ever seen and I will be contacting them and demanding my $10 back. It was bad enough we got taken behind the woodshed, I would have liked to see us with the basketball just to get a feel of how much '1 on 1' we were really doing.

So it wasn't just my connection.

That Shockervision does something I have never seen any TV or video coverage do-- They show full screen cartoon characters doing cheers for several seconds and don't show the game while it's going on!
And after every Wichita basket, they show another cartoon screen for several seconds that says BASKET or 3 POINT while Bradley has the ball. Plus they then go to a slow-motion replay of the last basket while the play is live, so of course, you miss nearly the entire Bradley possession. What a freakin joke.

I am livid coach...and not because of the outcome or the way we played. That broadcast was unbearable.

I know you don't want to hear from a Shocker fan right now, but just to clear things up a little, the video feed you saw is the exact feed that is broadcast on the video board inside the arena. That's why there are graphics interrupting the game all the time, and certainly when the opposing team is on offense. I don't know why they can't just broadcast the game without the graphics, as the cameras are obviously running despite the graphics on our video board... Maybe the logistics do not make this feasible. At any rate, I don't blame you at all for being angry and wanting your money back. Numerous Shocker posters from out-of-state have been complaining about the same thing for a while.

No problem Jeff, thanks for the info. I had a feeling that we were seeing what was being shown on the big screen at Koch Arena. Nonetheless, it's an absolutely unacceptable way to broadcast a game, and they shouldn't be charging people if that is what they're going to show. Nice win tonight. Looks like the Shox are back on track.

BBrave - I believe that BUBRAVES.TV shows the exact scoreboard feed as well for the home games.... we obviously don't have the silly graphics or cartoon characters. I live in Chicago and attend a few games each year, but I get the feed on BUBRAVES.TV. I believe we have the scoreboard feed as well. Fortunately, I think we have a better feed and you can watch the game.
