Donivine was done at SIUE and wasn't planning on playing elsewhere but suddenly - with the need of a point guard at U of I...
Donivine has become a potential valuable transfer...and U of I is interested.

Donivine Stewart transferring from SIUE
According to Manual Asst. Coach David Williams, University of Minnesota is the latest in a string of schools inquiring about getting involved in the transfer of Donivine Stewart

I am hearing Donivine Stewart had several offers and opportunities, including a couple Big Ten schools as mentioned.
But he has decided to transfer to Portland State of the Big Sky Conference. Portland State is coming off a couple winning seasons, but they lost their top 3 scorers due to graduation. They have a number of good young players, and Donivine will play a lot and be an important part of their team, instead of being recruited as a backup.
