5-10 Jordan Barnes verbals to Indiana State - had a couple other MVC offers....SIU, MSU, and SIUE..

The kid has a bunch of solid mid-major offers. He is small (closer to 5'8") but a good passer and scorer. He also had offers from SIU, and Missouri State of the MVC and was being followed by Kansas State, Illinois, and St. Louis. -
he's a point guard and of course it's always great to be deep at point guard - and it's always disastrous if you run short on PG options - just ask Geno....
...BUT Indiana State on paper would have seemed pretty well set at that spot with three other kids seemingly ahead of him for 2 and 3 years to come....
They have Freshman of the Year Brenton Scott returning and then also just landed a solid juco kid as backup PG -
and if they needed even further backup- they also still have this guy coming off redshirt - so unless they clear space a little before next year - Jordan Barnes could be looking at being 4th option for a whileComment

Actually Brenton Scott is not a point guard but played there some last season out of necessity. Clemens, the JUCO from Vincennes JC, is a good one I am hearing but will only be around for two seasons. Don't know about Page as he was injured and redshirted last season. We have lots of guards for sure when you remember Devonte Brown & Grant Prusator but none of them are pure point guards...........but especially in the Valley "can you have too many guards".Originally posted by tornado View PostComment
