hardly anyone has ever won our starting lineup pick-ems mostly due to injuries & suspensions always affecting the players who start, but that's all part of the game...

Had a good talk today with a good Bradley fan. Is there any chance the Braves, sorry Mr. Haney, could start 5 Freshmen this season?

I suspect all the starting positions are still open & can be earned...
but I truly doubt we will start more than 1 or 2 freshmen -- I threw Cooper's name in there to try to start some rebuttal but I think he'll surprise people - I just don't know which of the freshmen will have a good shot at starting...
Most coaches like to start their experienced guys early on until the freshmen can get experience...

Geno was an exception - starting BOTH of his freshmen last year the first few games - even tho clearly Donte Thomas was NOT ready and scored only 5 baskets in the first NINE games (5-27).
Same happened with Shayok a couple years earlier- he started practically every game even tho he was horribly ineffective most of the time- and guys like Eastman & Crawford were more effective...
I have my beliefs as to why he started the freshmen but that's water over the dam - most coaches don't do it unless they're trying to showcase their guys or pay off promises.

I have "heard" that Okafor, James, Cooper and van Bree have been among the standouts early on in workouts & scrimmages
...still plenty of time to guess the starting lineup


as a 1st tiebreaker - the EARLIEST posting of the correct starting lineup will be the winner....
the attendance guess will be used if nobody has the correct starting lineup and then the closest guess to the actual attendance will be the winner...
