Tough loss for Bradley. I thought they played very well, but a lot of loong rebounds and loose balls went MSU's way. And for some reason they shot several times a many free throws as Bradley.

It was a very good college basketball game.....the refs should have let the player's decide the outcome though!

There may have been a few questionable calls, but BU did a TERRIBLE job of boxing out, defending on the perimeter, and finishing point-blank shots. Missouri St gave us every opportunity to seize control of the game, and much like the less successful teams of recent years, we shot ourselves in the foot at every opportunity. JC's absence had very little to do with the outcome of this game. Terrible defense and even worse efforts on the boards is what lost this game.

Also, it's hard to get to the line when you shoot 34 3's, but that's the way we have to play due to our personnel, so the FT disparity doesn't concern me as much.
      Onward and Upward!

i'm sorry, and i don't mean to complain...but the officiating was once again pretty shotty, they were in the bonus with about 12 mins left in the second half and in double bonus with around 7:30 left, 10 to 4 at one point...
we defintely played good enough to win, hats off to missouri for playing a tough game.
good production from DA and Warren and the tandem of zack and salley looked good tonight

Dave Snell said new Bradley record......35 3's taking out the old record of 33 attemps!

Congrats to DA for stepping it up and AW for putting in some quality minutes!

A game we could have won and maybe should have won. Just too many lost opportunities. We didn???‚¬?„?t finish some drives, lost some inside passes that would have been dunks, and couldn???‚¬?„?t get the ball on some scrums.

We got out rebounded 46 ???‚¬??? 21. That stat alone should have spelled defeat. If it wasn???‚¬?„?t enough the Bears were 26 ???‚¬??? 30 from the line while we were 6 ???‚¬??? 9.

On the plus side Danny Adams and Andrew Warren filled in for JC very well. Drew didn???‚¬?„?t hesitate on his 3 pointers which he had started to do. Zach had an amazing drive down the lane as if he could fly.

There were at least two recruits at the game. One was a white kid who has been at a game before. I never saw him standing so I do not know his height. Then there was a black kid who definitely is a big. Anyone got anymore more info on these kids.

Well we now face two rough road games. It will be tough. Go Braves.

Also want to give Matt Salley some credit.....he played a nice game and had at least 3 put-backs! DR and WF had their usaul complete games! This next week could put BU behind the 8 ball with playing WS there and DU at their place!

Here's something that has not been pointed out yet and it drove me nuts in the second half.

TOO MANY FANCY HOT-DOG PASSES THAT TURNED INTO LOST BALLS! 2 tunrovers in the first half and 9 in the second. A couple of the guys got "too cute" with their passes in crunch time and those turnovers cost BU big-time. Those type of passes look great in blowouts, but leave them at home in a close game against a good team.

I think we lost because of our home court {dis}advantage

This being the fact the refs consistently call so many more fouls on Bradley. Think Hitower (however you want to spell it). Think Sanchez. Think the white haired dude I have never known the name of who officiates in the same manner. These three should be example enough of the disparity in foul calling in our never to be enjoyed home court advantage in this regard. There is one area of play I can give the refs a break in, however. Our once again consistent miserable layup make percentage. How many more years will we as fans be putting up with miss after miss after miss after miss while the other team in the cut of the game ambles right on down to make a layup of their own? This business of the coach not being able to make a more distinctive point of getting screwed by pathetic officiating is bogus as is our said inablity of making such easy baskets.
Why don't eggs from chickens taste like chicken?

That was part of what I was trying to point out saying lost opportunities. I was being nice, but you are right.

To complain about the officials is to be like an Illini fan.

I thought a huge; telling possession of the game was the turnover DA caused. He tips the ball, dives after it at half court, and tips it towards our basket. We pick up the ball and run the floor. Can't remember who had the ball, but threw a pass to Salley, who promptly misses the ball. MState takes the ball, scores, and instead of us being down two, we're down 6! I felt like that was kind of a turning point.
