The 2015-16 Manual Rams are going to be tough to beat. In the Richwoods Shootout today, they went 2-0, beating a pretty good Class 1A Peoria Christian team 52-19, then walloping a decent Class 4A Springfield HS team 65-32.

    More on the Richwood Shootout-

So who are top Central IL area HS hoops prospects (currently enrolled in Grade 8 and above) BU should be making runs at?

Any more BU MBB alumni's kids they should be courting for the future?

Three obvious ones are Williams, Douglas-Watkins, and Youngman from Manual's 2017 class. However, Williams, at least, is getting very good reviews and drawing a lot of interest from the BCS schools. I believe I have seen Whitelow from Washington's 2017 class mentioned on here somewhere.

I am sure other posters will be able to help you with many more names.

I'd be happy to land Nate Kennell - a great shooter but also a winner

two years ago this group of freshmen who were playing at Peoria's Quest Academy - were said to be VERY talented...
they ought to all be juniors now - so anyone know if they are still playing at a high level?

Manual ended up winning the Richwoods Shootout - their first Richwoods championship in all the years they've been playing there (over 30) but their fast-paced, pressure style isn't conducive to a generally small squad playing as many as 6-8 games in two days in hot non-air-conditioned gyms..

There won't be any more chance to see the Manual kids this summer as they are not in the Central Shootout
btw- in between games, AJ Youngman has been seen wearing a Michigan State shirt - so I have an idea where he'd like to play - but a lot of time until he can sign anything

btw - in the past couple weeks I had a couple chances to observe AJ Youngman with his teammates and interacting with kids.
I will say I am quite impressed - whatever else you say about the kid - he is friendly, a good teammate and team player, and is remarkably polite and friendly even to people & youngsters he doesn't know. I predict the kid will have a really good year in 2015-16 and get a lot of attention.
..and his father is not involved currently in coaching but is employed by one of Peoria's largest corporations & employers..(not CAT)

AJ is definitely an extremely polite young man. By all accounts, he fits in very well with his teammates at Manual.

That's actually not accurate. They will be playing at Illinois State's second team camp this Friday. Games are open to the public. Every team plays 4 games.
