Any potential Bradley APR problems stemming from the departures from last years basketball team won't show up yet in those numbers. Without a doubt, our number will go down but to many variables exist right now to know where the APR number will land. Plus, APR is a 5 year average so the departures will be shown in our number for a while.

almost all the departures so far like Omari, Fields, Barnes, Swopshire, Zecevic, Donivine, Wells, etc...
have either graduated or have landed at good schools that will get them graduated - so we shouldn't be hurt too bad by the departures.
Morgan, Taylor, and Cunningham are still undecided but they also ought to find a spot at some decent school.

Apparently it is well known that those such standards were relaxed substantially with the past few recruiting classes as a help to the head coach to get someone with talent but it obviously backfired royally...

even though there's been a lot of bragging about how well Bradley athletes, and specifically basketball players, have done recently - that this past couple summer sessions were notably better.

I heard that when the new AD & staff got here - stressing academics was priority #1...
and that instantly led to a couple players leaving - players whose course work & academics were not good - and those guys were gone right off the bat, some not even finding anywhere else to go...

I like that we have a commitment to academics and won't cut slack or soften the expectations for kids if they can average double digits
Kids that choose not to show up in class might be welcome at Kentucky but they should not be tolerated here.

APR numbers and that represent graduation rates can be complicated. I think that these scores represent Jim Les recruits since they are players who did or did not graduate by 2008 (the link won't open). With the mass exodus of players from last season, our APR numbers could go down in the future. The players who transferred to other schools need to graduate for us to receive points. If they don't graduate from their new school we lose points...... I think.

yes- they track the athletes and give them 6 years to get their degree even if they transfer...so it does indeed include data from 2008 on..and anyone who enrolled in college after that - their data won't show up til next year, then the next...

All the freshmen who entered as Geno's 1st recruiting class (Wells, Donivine, Jalen, Devon, Shayok) would have their data included until 2016-2017 ends then it still takes a year for the data to get rounded up, submitted, analyzed and reported...
as I said we are only now seeing the data from 2008-09 thru 2013-14.

So, really none of Geno's recruits would be included in the current data - the first such ones would register at the end of 2015-16 when we reach the point where 6 years has passed from Tyshon Picket's enrolling in college
