Ka Boom

Cubs rookie Kris Bryant is having success with the Cubs since being called up, and now there are some who are trying to give him the nickname "Ka Boom" (for his initials KB).
It's not a bad nickname for a mascot, but it is a really silly nickname for a baseball player. I hope it doesn't catch on.
Someone is now selling this unauthorized T-shirt with the nickname on them.

Only One Real Kaboom!

There is only one real Kaboom! I like the Cubs and all, but they can't take the name that Dave Snell made famous. When I first saw Kaboom, I thought the mascot didn't fit. After a month or so, I thought it was a perfect choice, right off of Bradley Hall, and the newest 4 on Hayden-Clark Center. Perfect.

I bought a Kaboom polo. I'll have it on, if it isn't too warm, this coming Tuesday, at the luncheon. I will not buy a Kris Bryant KaBoom. We had it first.
