  • Another reason for Max to pick Bradley

Bradley ranks TOP 20 in Colleges that will BOOST your earnings capacity...

    current CNN article...
"Colleges that boost your salary the most"
A new report from the Brookings Institution ranks colleges that give alumni the biggest salary boosts.

We're talking Cal Tech, MIT, Stanford, Ivy League schools, Georgia Tech..
    and Bradley

So Max - forget those other guys - you'll do great at Bradley and you'll get to play a ton and be the fan favorite...
At Stanford. BC or Iowa State you'll be a sub, you'll be treated like a walk-on (you already know that feeling) and the fans THERE will wonder who you are and why they used a scholarship...

At Bradley you'll be honored as family & still be treated like a king decades later - just ask Roger Phegley, Bobby Humbles, Cellus, Deon, JJ, Eddie Mathews, Coach Bish, Chris Reynolds, etc...

I believe Bradley still has a great chance at landing Max.
It is less usual for a 5th year grad transfer to move father away from his home when he takes the grad transfer route. And Bradley is as solid an academic school as any on his list (except maybe Stanford). So it comes down to his own personal reasons-
    >Playing time
    >Who the coach is
    >Playing in front of friends and family
    >Playing for a potential winner or NCAA tournament caliber team
    >Intangibles and unknown reasons

Only Max can answer those questions.
Playing time would be more at Bradley than most of the other schools on his list.
He has had a chance to meet with Coach Wardle, but he obviously knows Coach Bruce Weber better, I am not sure he knows the other coaches very well.
I have heard that he and his family told Coach Wardle, that they wanted to play for him, and relished the idea of playing his final year at his hometown school Bradley.
Bradley will not be as successful as most of the teams on the list, but DePaul, Stanford, Kansas State, Iowa State, and Boston College have rebuilding to do and none are guaranteed to be NCAA teams.

If you look at the potential reasons for a transfer, Bradley still appears to fill as many or more of those reasons than the other schools. But we do not know how Max will weight his reasons, or which are more important. If playing time and playing in front of friends is important, then Bradley could still be the best place for him. If winning is the highest importance, then Bradley can't compete. Recall that Max has already has incredible NCAA successes with Michigan. So despite some fans' pessimism, I think Bradley is still even odds with Iowa State and Boston College, and the others are a bit lower.
