another guy who was a classmate of Brian Wardle at Marquette, Brian Hardin, was just hired as AD at Marquette....
great situation for us to get a home-and-home deal to play Marquette - dontcha think??? Hope our guys are working on it

Before the Bargens moved from Hutchinson, KS to Nebraska (Gary, their dad, was head coach at Hutch CC, then hired as an assistant at NU), Mike's sister Kim was in my high school class and brother Jed was a year older. Great basketball family and good people, from my recollection.

The choice to replace Mike Bargen as head coach at Butler Community College has come down to a couple familiar names...

The three finalists are said to be...

-Brian Barone - son of past BU assistant coach Tony Barone, past assistant at Green Bay under Brian Wardle, and who was also in consideration for an assistant spot here.

-Craig Doty- well known area juco coach with strong ties in Illinois

-Kyle Campbell- current Dodge City Community College coach (Dodge City is where Tyshon Picket went)

There is one other staff member who has still not been publicly announced or acknowledged. As most here know, it has been reported that Bradley intends to hire A.J. Guyton in some capacity. I have heard he will have the official title of Video Coordinator, though he will have other duties, including community connections.
I do not know when this will officially happen, but he'll be yet another great addition to this staff.
