From Braves16 link to the Des Moines Register, the schools Max is considering include: Iowa State, Nebraska, DePaul, Stanford, Kansas State and Bradley. That's not quite alphabetical order, so one might imply it shows a bias toward the bigger schools. Later they list Illinois as well.

The new Mad Max movie opens today. Today would be a good day for Glad Max to announce for Bradley.

personally I think we are still in the running -
..surely he knows if it was just a school, locale, or degree related decision then his folks could afford any school in the nation or even Oxford ..

BUT - this is mainly a basketball decision, and if he actually wants playing time, then Bradley is his best choice..
If he wants more of the NCAA/big stage experience then Bradley probably can't compete with Iowa State or Stanford.
But Max already had a Final Four run at Michigan - but he barely played..he was always playing behind someone else...Morgan, McGary, now Doyle, Donnal...
Hope he learned and chooses wisely....

            In Re:
That's an article in which Max told the Des Moines Register last evening...
"Iowa State is a phenomenal opportunity that I have not been close to ruling out"

but at that time last evening, he was probably still at Nebraska or had just left- but he also indicated he knew about the possibility that Iowa State head coach Fred Hoiberg is rumored to maybe get the Bulls coach spot offered - thus ya never know...
maybe Max will wait 'til all those things play out before deciding...

Max is feeling the lure of the big lights....has trimmed his list to..
              Nebraska, Iowa State, Indiana, DePaul
I suspect Coach Wardle saw this coming weeks ago thus, thankfully focused on landing James, Cooper, and van Bree...
This is becoming one of the comedy shows of the year for a career deep bench player to be pulling a "I'm taking my talents to..." - media tour

from the premium Rivals article ...here's what Tom Crean told Max...
              (just some clips...)

"He said IU overall was "a great visit."
.....Max Bielfeldt tells Peegs.com that Indiana will be his final visit and he hopes to make a decision within a few days.

He had a full workout with IU's coaching staff, spent additional time with the coaches

"It was good. Coach Crean talked to me about my game, how I could improve. He went through a lot of specifics on things I can do to be better.
They put me through a tough workout. I got great vibes. They're a bunch of good guys who really care...
Bielfeldt also had a chance to talk with Crean about his role at Indiana...
"He was telling me how he can improve a lot of stuff in my game, make me a better dribbler, better ball handler, better shooter, make me more of a perimeter threat, be able to score the ball in more areas....
"He said I'd play the '4' or the '5.' He said there's a starting spot available...."

sounds a little like Crean opened the "checkbook" and made a few promises - stopped just short of promising to get Max to the NBA -- LOL

Agree, a bench player acting like LeBron James and Max will probably want a press release on ESPN also. What a three ring circus. This thread is as bad as "Where"s Kirk" and should be treated the same. Get if off the board!

Why all of the consternation over what Max does or doesn't do? I don't think he's the one reporting his every move on Twitter.

This was posted elsewhere, but here is a tweet from CBSSports wroter Jon Rothstein about the finalitsts for Max-

Michigan transfer Max Bielfeldt told @CBSSports he is done w visits. Final list: Indiana, Iowa St, DePaul, Nebraska. Immediately eligible.

Bradley does not make the final list acording to him. However, we have seen this before where national experts dismiss any midmajor. I still hear Bradley is a possibility that Max is considering, but we have dropped from the favorite to a longshot. Unlike the other coaches courting him with with constant calls and texts, Coach Wardle, who does not partake in that kind of nonsense, has moved on.

Kudos for Coach Wardle! He is doing the right thing regarding the "Max follies".

"The Hoiberg uncertainty" is a factor...(sounds like an episode form the Big Bang Theory)

...he also said he was going to decide in the next few days...

"What are you looking for in a school?

“Yeah honestly it's a combo of the academic component, expanded role, how the good the team is going to be.
It’s tough to say for me it's either a guaranteed amount of big minutes or a team that could win a lot of games in the tourney.”
