I'm all for a gunner who can drain 3's, and I also trust that Coach Wardle will be able to ID kids who can actually compete in the MVC. A lot of these kids have MAC/Horizon type schools going after them. Would feel a little better if we beat out ISU red or ISU blue/Evansville for recruits instead of Buffalo.
BUT!!!!! Player development and finding SKILLED players excites me. Bring on the long range gunner!

Most the players that sign this late in the spring signing period, are usually players that either have limited offers, bloomed late in their senior season, or the schools they signed earlier with fired the coach and they got released from their LOI.
The Bradley staff is trying to find a way to fill out the roster for the upcoming season, with the best players available. These will be "good" kids that are decent shooters and are fundamentally sound, but may be a little lacking in quickness and/or size. There effort and attitude will help us get through the season
This coming fall is when we can expect to see the impact players that will truly move us to the upper level of the MVC.

Ronnie Suggs' contribution to the team
Originally posted by Vent View PostI agree. That is why I believe Okafor will be an MVC level point guard. He had originally committed to Mizzou. I'm also confident Suggs will be a contributor during his four years hear. We must all remember, this is late in the recruiting process, for Wardle and his staff to try to recruit players to play in the Valley. Before the Bradley job opened he was recruiting players to play in the Horizion League, which other than the top couple of teams is very much sub par compared to the Valley.

Nate has received a scholarship offer today from Coach Wardle. It will be interesting to see if we hear anything soon or not.

Nate Navigato reportedly has 3 offers since he was released from his commitment to Buffalo- UIC, Bradley, and American.
With UIC just getting a commitment from Julian Torres, perhaps it reduces the chance Nate Navigato considers them. I think new coach Steve McClain still has a scholarship or two to work with, but their incoming freshman class now has 3 big men (6'9" Julian Torres, 6'9" Garrett Bye, and 6'7" Hassan Thomas), plus they have 5 other big men on the roster who appear to be returning.
