Great - congrats -- more branches on the Jim Molinari/Jim Les coaching tree

"I played at Bradley under two great coaches — Jim Molinari and Jim Les. Those were the best four years of my life.
I learned the game under them and still keep in contact trying to learn more.”

from the standpoint of history, prestige, and importance - his school is one of those in Illinois that rank at the top along with Manual, Peoria Central, Simeon, etc...
Hope to see them at Carver Arena soon!

Here is a bit of news that seems to have gone unannounced or unnoticed here in Peoria- Phillip Gilbert, an All-MVC guard who played for Bradley from 2000-2004, will be inducted into the Bradley University Athletics Hall of Fame in the class of 2016.
Phillip scored 1,689 points in his career to rank 8th all time on the Bradley career scoring list.
The BU HOF Class of 2016 will be honored at a luncheon at the Renaissance Coliseum, then will be recognized at halftime of the Braves game against Indiana State on Feb. 6.

East St. Louis native Phillip Gilbert to be inducted into Bradley University Athletics Hall of Fame

Gilbert graduated from Bradley in 2004 with his degree in criminal justice. He spent seven years playing basketball overseas — in England, France, Germany, Singapore, and New Zealand before returning home to East St. Louis where he has worked since.

As we noted earlier, Phillip Gilbert is in his first season as Head Coach of his high school alma mater, East St. Louis High School.

East St. Louis' boys basketball program has been down in recent years, and Phillip was hired last spring to try to bring it back. So far this season, they are 6-9 and 2-3 in the tough Southwestern Conference.

I have not been able to find any announcement from Bradley about the 2016 class for the Bradley Athletics Hall of Fame. Does anyone know who else is in the class of inductees?
