Iowa State now going full tilt after Max...boy, they sure don't pass on many transfers - surprising they aren't after Xzavier Taylor
..their fans seem to salivate and go bananas even when walk-ons transfer.....they truly have become Transfer U.

Wow, the excitement level about Max on the Iowa State message board is about a 2 out of 10. Hopefully Max will choose to come where his talents would be most appreciated, and where he would be welcomed by thousands of cheering, hometown fans -- and the excitement level for him would be through the roof like Tornado's avatar.Yajusneverno!

"Josh Cunningham is a middling front court player and he has half the country after him.
ISU will get more talent by having a giant void to fill come 2016.
..We should be able to grab some bigger time conventional transfers who have
to sit a year, because it's easy to see the opportunity to play here."
Then Minnesota did a fan poll on their message board and almost 50 people have cast a vote thus far...
..and of the SIX poll options - NOT one vote has gone yet to Josh.

Regardless of how the fans feel, Iowa State is doing everything they can to land Max, and I mean everything.
And now there are other schools making a big push. The strongest push seems to be coming from Boston College, who is making a strong late effort to persuade Max to play for them.

Interview with Max confirming his visit to Iowa State, and discussing some of the other schools he is considering-
Bielfeldt told MLive his list of schools under consideration includes Boston College, Kansas State, Iowa State, Bradley, Stanford and DePaul.
The current list of schools that have contacted Bielfeldt and are under consideration includes Boston College, Kansas State, Iowa State, Bradley, Stanford and DePaul.
Notice Max's current list does not include one school that fans were just touting their chances yesterday.
Unfortunately, I am hearing Max may want to play out of state, so Bradley's chances are dropping, too. I'd say Iowa State, Boston College, and possibly Stanford could be the leaders now. He plans to take more visits.

Max seems to be having a great time playing the recruiting game. For a guy who spent most of his time sitting on the bench for a big 10 school, this must be a big ego massage! Max will probably not be at Bradley and we will get along just fine without him. Lets move on!

WizOriginally posted by Chico View PostI'm sure Max didn't invent these schools that are interested. Must not be a Max fan.
I don't know Max from any other tall guy walking down the street, but based on what I've read he seems like someone who could fill a very good role at BU and I hope he comes, although I could blame him at all if he went to a school like Stanford. It's honestly hard to make the argument that BU is a better opportunity, on or off the court.

The main objective for Max, is not the 1 extra year of playing, it is the opportunity to get a scholarship to a great grad school to further his education. And yes, we know Max's family can afford pay for it, but that does not seem to be a factor in his deciding.
It would be great to see him playing for Bradley. But it's his decision.
By the way, we are arguing over a reserve center who played on a 16-16 team (8-10 in the Big Ten). He scored a total of 192 points in his entire career at Michigan. He's a career 45% shooter and despite being known as a good outside shooter, his 3-point career percentage is only 26.8% (he's made just 11 in 3 years!). I still think he'd be an asset at Bradley, but Bradley's future does not hinge on his decision, and he still doesn't owe anything to Bradley or ISU.
