BTW- if you watch any of the games - interesting how the arenas are all like hockey rinks with the fans seated behind glass walls and separated from the courts or behind some other form of barrier like rails.

for those who plan to watch the stream on the Great Britain-Turkey game, the streaming should start soon and the players should be taking the floor within the next 20 minutes.

Dwayne Lautier-Ogunleye should be wearing jersey #8 for Britain and may come off the bench now that Britain has their top scorer & captain Luke Nelson back from injury
I do not know what color jersey they will have but it shouldn't be too hard to figure out when the streaming starts - it'll be blue, white, or rarely red.

In the Spain-Czech game, one very noticable factor is that the refs are calloing everything against the Czech team..I have to think they are frustrated...
The current foul total is 23-11, with Spain going to the FT line 26 times already to just 13 for Czech.

Five Czech players have 3 or more fouls, three have 4 or more, and their best player/top scorer, Pechachek with 18 pts, played just 12 minutes & has already fouled out - while only one Spanish player even has 3 - and he's not one of their key players.

with just 1:30 to go, Latvia 58 - Greece 46 - the SIU guy Rudy Stradnieks has not played further in the 2nd half - still with 2pt
\but it has to be great experience and memorable time for anyone who can play at the top level of play for their home nation.

Britain's captain Luke Nelson is a good shooter - he just swished a long three...
Turkey is one of the favorites to win the entire tourney and are considered very strong...
right now game tied 14-14 with 3 minutes to go 1st period

got a rebound, took it the length of the court and fought the doubleteam to put up a shot and was fouled...
the shot went in but bounced high off the rim before going thru and the refs waved it off claiming it hit the support above the basket

DLO is a big guard with long arms and is really frustrating the Turkish guards with his defense.

He leads the British team with 7 pts on just 3 shot attempts, and is flawless (2-2) at the FT line

Tough first game for Britain - Turkey won the GOLD Medal last year at this competition so they are favorites to repeat
