  • Drake loses returning guard

Karl Madison - who started half Drake's games and would have been potentially one of the most experienced returnees,
and also would have returned with the 3rd most playing time in mpg from last year...
has decided to leave & transfer...

He has potentially one season left as he had two injury years and is eligible for the 6th year waiver...
He was one of their top two assist guys and had an assist to turnover ration of almost 2
and hit 36% on 3's and 66% on FT's but did not score a lot.
He is originally from Springfield, IL.

Madison was granted a 6th year by the NCAA, and will be returning to Drake next season. He will get the scholarship that became available when Blake Danielak transferred.

Karl only needs 3 more classes to complete his master's degree. Great kid. True student-athlete.
