and he will definitely remain suspended for as long as there are no practices or games to miss!!!@!!

Coach Muller addresses the issue of suspended player Deontae Hawkins..and yet he really doesn't give any more info whatsoever - so fans are puzzled and Dan Muller seems bothered by that.
"The weary Redbirds attended the first day of fall semester classes Monday.
That included sophomore forward Deontae Hawkins, who was indefinitely suspended
for violation of team rules after two games in Madrid.

..After being suspended, Muller said Hawkins flew home to Dayton, Ohio, before returning to campus.

..."There was a lot of speculation (on the Internet), and it's extremely disappointing to me to hear what some people are saying about it."

so I guess Hawkins, like Darius Paul - will get another "last chance" and if he blows this one then he won't get many more.

DePaul wins again - 30 pt blowout with the starters performing pretty well but not a lot of depth..

Nebraska wins their 2nd game in Europe - 66-63 over Albacete, Glynn Watson & Ed Morrow again having good games

Northwestern is now on their way to Spain

Iowa State cancels the final game of their tour as a couple kids reportedly had stomach flu and they would have been down to 9 players..

Northwestern gets shocked in their first European game...
they struggled the entire way, and end up losing 84-82 to
a Spanish team that calls themselves "Estudiantes" (Students)
(not really one of their opponents they expected to be that tough - they play in the 4th-tier, amateur/college-level league in Spain
that the Canarias Basketball Assoc. (high school kids) plays in that is somewhat of a HS/DIII level - but also had a roster of some added pick-up players LINK)

                scoring...
                Tre Demps 19 points
                Alex Olah 14 points
                Vic Law 14 points
                Aaron Falzon (11 points
                Jordan Ash scoreless
and Virginia Tech transfer Joey van Zegeren who was expected to be a solid contributor was also scoreless

but he is reportedly on the trip ... Pitino labelled Lynch one of their best players even if ineligible - ....
looks like Reggie Lynch had a lot of fun while in Madrid...

fresh off their trip to Spain - and after breaking a backboard with one of his dunks....
ISU newcomer Quintin Brewer gets ticketed for a DUI - apparently no mention from ISU or Coach Muller - maybe hoping it won't hit the press..
I have also heard a version that one other player was also cited.

Northwestern finishes up their tour in Spain
                          Northwestern 70 - Toulouges 44
halftime score was 39-27, and 3rd quarter score was 48-36
..so Northwestern played them even at 9-9 in the 3rd quarter then outscored Toulouges 22-9 in 4th quarter
Trey Demps has been their best scorer...

Toulouges is a 4th tier (NM2) team from France (they have Pro A, Pro B, then NM1 and NM2)

                          couple more results
Stanford's game vs. their Italian opponent was cancelled when one of the Italian team's players shattered the backboard

Michigan - fresh off a FINAL FOUR finish.... is playing some pretty tough teams on their tour.

They just got hammered by the Italian National team 90-69 - LINK
..but earlier they got clobbered by the Russian National team 93-75 that Tom Izzo described...
"that was boys vs. men tonight..."

Rick Pitino has had trouble landing the top recruits .... now relying on transfer kids ...

the top scorer in Puerto Rico so far - Damion Lee scored about 1/2 the points Louisville scored total!
Lee is a grad-transfer from Drexel

One of their other two starters & 2nd leading scorer who played 32 minutes - Trey Lewis -
is a grad transfer from Cleveland State....
Lee & Lewis are two of Louisville's best players and top scorers...
they could have transferred almost anywhere but went to Louisville and are now doomed to end their season in disgrace and Louisville is self-banned from post-season play.
Tough break for both who were not even there when the violations happened...but I have to think the knowledge of the hooker-violations was a little bit more widespread than the media is letting you know.

                            then this tweet

they are holding Lee out to day because the need to get him healthy...
why?.. the kid has only 8 regular season games left then it ends - so this is strange..
Then ESPN commentator Dan Dakich unloads and rips on these guys who were not involved in the Louisville scandal - LINK - when will Dakich cut the classless attacks?
Dakich also regularly attacks AJ Guyton- LINK
