regardless - I think most BU fans are still infinitely happier being without players but have a new coach
than we'd have been with the old gang regardless of who we still had on the roster
hey guess what? Geno is gone.......the horse is dead....
I guess we could rank the empty cupboards....just not sure what the point is though
I agree Lefty. I was hoping it was all water under the bridge, and Bradley fans could move beyond the dreadful recent past. I really don't care about beating Ford down, because a previous coach got beaten down.
I for one don't want to continue to harp on the negative of the past. It does nothing to mend the fences of the Les vs. Ford era. It only reopens old wounds and scabs and accomplishes nothing.
I was hoping people could move on. Apparently not.

Lefty, the point is to make a retort to a local news article. We are here to discuss all things Bradley, after all, and if the local sport's writers are going to write articles, more than likely this message board will have an opinion on that, and people obviously (as you can see in this thread) will have some comments to make on it.
This really isn't an uncommon event for a message board.

not just a retort - but the actual facts instead of the garbage, lies, inaccuracies, and biased opinions that Peorians get from their local media.
Isn't it amazing now that we can look back over the past 4 years and see how incredibly wrong all those things written by Reynolds & Wessler were.
I won't waste your time recapping all the things they were 100% wrong about - the players, the difference-makers, the "light years better", the lack of talent in the cupboard, the tremendous talent & depth at every position, the coaching ability, claims about how much better we were or would be, how many more games we'd win, how we had talent, depth, scoring ability - multi-talented players the likes of which rivalled the best recruiting classes in the past 3 decades - and a stable of quality big men that were as good as any group since Reese, Thirdkill, Anderson, etc.....
etc., etc...claims that now in retrospect are so comical that they flatly discredit those writers from being involved in this conversation any more...
..plus all the great hype & spin about the stuff going on from the AD to the Prez - all of which was nothing more than the PJStar acting as a PR-agency for them spreading likes and spin...
They were wrong about so much and the truth could only be found here...
plus virtually every item of news from who is hired to who is fired to who is recruited to what's happening behind the scenes - has consistently been reported here first and in many cases only here.
There's reasons this simple site for Bradley basketball has more internet traffic than the entire PJStar web site, lefty...it's because it is the only place you can actually find the facts & the truth - and people know that and come here to read it..

So it's OK for some to keep talking about the empty cupboard that Jim Les left in 2011 and keep blaming the current abysmal state of Bradley basketball on people who left many years ago.
But if we say a word about the current roster and where we are now and how this is the worst "empty cupboard" in the history of Bradley, that is beating a dead horse and doesn't have any point?
Sorry, but this will continue to be a topic for the next year or two as Bradley struggles to rebuild from the lowest point in their history, and it won't be just the people here who will keep bringing it up.

yeah - talk about beating a horse that isn't even there -- how many times are the PJS people gonna tie the current dismal situation & empty seats
to 2011, 2009, 2007, 2002, and even the 1990's...in an effort to deflect the accountability & blame that need to go to Glasser, Cross, Ford?
first of all??¦I didn't see a link to a current PJS article about an empty cupboard??¦so obviously you are all talking about one 4 years ago I guess??¦??¦??¦
Not sure why??¦.PJS hasn't been comparing empty cupboards lately??¦.
But now that Geno, JG, and Cross are gone the only thing left to bash is PJS I guess??¦??¦you guys have fun with it

We'll always be happy to do that when they are wrong or when we don't agree with them, which is quite often.

you are cracking me up here T??¦..there have been some truth and facts here??¦but there have been plenty of inaccuracies and biased opinions galore too??¦.which is what a message board is for??¦..but biased opinions and truth get pretty mixed up here sometimes??¦
internet traffic statistics??¦??¦don't get me started??¦??¦I don't mean here necessarily but I don't trust many of those statistics??¦..

You are so right. I'd rather begin with nothing and have hope, than to continue the status quo of a woefully poor recruiter and poor coach who could put a spin on everything. I got so tired of all the energetic, positive talk and the totally unacceptable results.
We now have hope. We now can have faith that CR has made the right decision. Coach Wardle has my full support because there is true potential now vs certain failure before.
I honestly don't know, Lefty. I didn't read the article because I don't pay for the PJS online, which means I'm unable to view more than like 3 articles a month or something like that.
