Dick Vitale just gave a 10 minute soliloquy on how great Kentucky is, how great their fans are, how passionate their fans are...etc...
OK...fine, if you want to believe it...
but...
-first, most of those players got to Kentucky via means that Bradley would never be able to pull off
-then they walked off the court without shaking hands
-they draw big crowds when they win - they cry & gripe more than any fans when they do not - or do you not remember the Billy Gillispie years
-their fans are rude & grunpy when they lose, they are smack talking when they win

Talk about developing players. Frank Kaminsky did not have a single other high-major offer, and the best mid-major offer he had was Bradley. Then he barely played as a freshman and averaged just 1.8 points per game. His sophomore season he only played a slight bit more and averaged 4.2 ppg. He developed into a good player as a junior, and a great player as a senior. A National Player of the Year.
We'll probably never have a POY candidate again, but we can only hope we start to see progressive improvement with our players.Comment

Some video of the Wisconsin fans greeting their team as they returned to the team hotel. Does anyone think this looks a little like the greeting at the Peoria airport in March, 2006?

Reminds me of the send off the Braves had in 1982 in New York as they left the hotel on their way to MSG, across the street.
