The PJ Star also posted their Area Large-School All Star team-

        A couple things-
Note that one of the 1st team All Stars is Pete Hanley, a senior at Notre Dame HS. He says he will be going to Bradley, and he says he may try for a walk-on spot on the Bradley basketball team.

Washington junior point guard Lou Griffith says he has already visited Western Illinois, and I have heard that WIU Coach Billy Wright is very interested in him.

Limestone's star player Chris Dixon-Williams has committed to ICC and will play for Tony Wysinger.

Brian Wardle must think he is a D1 talent, as I do, he just offered a scholarship-

I am hearing there may be another commit or two before the weekend is over, but this staff is very stingy with info.

              Good. Glad they are.

I think the fact that he is being given a "gray shirt" year is a very safe risk.

There will be no other commitments coming from the visits this past weekend. It is my understanding that the only two players who were offered a scholarship were Ronnie Suggs and Dwayne Lautier-Ogunleye.

The other recruits who were visiting were junior college players who left and who were not offered a scholarship. There will be more recruits coming for visits. And the Max Bielfeldt offer remains on the table awaiting his decision, as does the Alex O'Neill offer.

One more note on the staff- as many of you know from PMs, Bradley will be hiring a Video Coordinator this year, a position that many schools have, but Bradley never has. And without mentioning names (many of you already know who it will be and Bradley apparently doesn't want it announced yet) I have heard Coach Wardle's choice for this position is a superb one that will benefit this team greatly.

Alex Peacock, who I saw play for Normal Community in the Class 4A supersectional upset of Simeon, and then in the state semi-finals has committed to Iowa Western CC, a junior college in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
I actually though Peacock could have played at a lower D1 school. But Iowa Western seems like a good choice for him now. By going to a juco, he'll have his chance to get a D1 scholarship in a couple years.

Well nobody is going to accuse Wardle of being lazy, that's for sure! Man alive, how has he got so much done in such a short amount of time!

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

I also guarantee nobody who works for him or plays for him will be either.

we need to get our European connections & our Wisconsin connections to get us in on this kid - a Class of 2017 European player that has top talent - now playing in the US and attending a Wisconsin high school
                                ...younger brother of talented NBA'er

6'8 16 year old combo forward Kostas Antetokounmpo (Whitefish Bay Dominican HS) appears poised to have a breakout…

Milwaukee Bucks small forward Giannis Antetokounmpo defies everything a big man stands for. At 6-foot-11, the 20-year-old is a unique specimen with a rare combination of height, athleticism and tremendous ballhandling. Thanasis Antetokounmpo, one of Giannis's four brothers, has also gotten some attention playing for the NBA D-League's Westchester Knicks. But now, one of his younger brothers, Kostas Antetokounmpo, who's only 16, is quickly becoming one of the most intriguing prospects in the Midwest.

btw- Coach Les back in the midwest recruiting...

Coach Les honored by Sports Illustrated - best 1-year turnaround!!
