Was a tough couple years but the fruits were much sweeter 2 years later. I expect a tough couple of years before seeing what Wardle can really do and am willing to give him a couple years to resurrect this program.
The program was in such poor shape that this change is going to be difficult. From what I've heard of the state of practices, it sounds like a tough coach is exactly what's needed. I hope he does well. These last few years were unwatchable.

The "Magnificent 7" who have chosen to stay, at least for the moment, are guys who want to be held accountable for how they play. These are the guys who are going to lay the foundation as Brian begins to reshape the program at BU. We can only hope that we see any improvement from the guys who are staying and if we can get some guys who can come in and contribute maybe a .500 record can be achieved. Having watch some of Wardle's teams play we shouldn't be outworked or outhustled. Will be curious to see if we try and fill all of the spots or not.

I wish I could agree with you. Looking at the names that are staying, Jones is the only one that produced, though I will admit that Thomas looks like he's got some ability. The rest of them were not very good performers and would most likely have trouble getting scholarships from a school anywhere near as relevant as BU.

Nate Wells from day one has been said by every observer to be the hardest working guy in practice, he's stayed out of trouble, been completely compliant with every rule (which, as we know, many have not) has NEVER needed any discipline nor been suspended like just about every other player Geno has recruited, and STILL had to wait 3.5 years on the bench before getting a chance to play - then proving he was a superior option to those who were playing that position for 3.5 years ahead of him.

Too bad we didn't have more players who gave us that effort than the opposite.
His parent have a lot to be proud of - and I wish him well in the future.

            Multiple Bradley Players Transferring

Nate Wells is a great young man. I wish him well and hope he gets his Masters in Marketing and advertising. If I were not retired, I would hire him in an instant in my Marketing organization.

We know all 4 of these guys are almost brutal in practice. Izzo still makes his players practice in shoulder pads. I could go on about how tough all of the better coaches are. Players that want to get better will respond to that kind of coaching and will continue to get better

I am just guessing, but, I don't think Coach K, Izzo, or Bo would put up with any *rap from their players and would expect their players to do things how these coaches want, on or off the court, or, hit the highway.

Players want 'respect' and a fair chance at PT. These and discipline are not mutually exclusive.

The basketball programs these coaches represent are light years away from ours. They don't have to take chances on recruits like Bradley does. They pick and choose who they want. As a result, they very seldom have the problems we have with attitudes and discipline. They are in the top 10 of the country in the quality of their basketball program. We are in the bottom 50 of the country at best.

I don't know how warranted the reputation is but I would agree with Vent. Big programs don't have to worry about scaring away players.

I don't think he was comparing programs. I think the point was just to show that you can be a very successful head coach and a disciplinarian at the same time and those were some of the most successful examples to point out.

maybe we won't get 100% agreement here but...
having a decent point guard is perhaps the most important piece to build your team around...and we really don't have a point guard...
                      we need one for sure.....

I know we didn't win a lot of games, but Tramique was a far better point guard than anyone else we used when he was unavailable.
