Its an honor to wear the Bradley uniform. All student- athletes should understand this. Maybe we can be the first university to have a starting 5 of all graduate students and we can start will Max in the middle.

bye Josh & XT - we hardly knew ya -

BTW - When Brian Wardle took over at Green Bay for Tod Kowalczyk he added seven new players right off the bat in Year 1 and finished 14-18 with them

Cunningham & Taylor combined to play 19.2% of the minutes played
and accounted for 18.1% of our offensive output & 19.5% of the rebounds - but only 6.8% of assists, 17.2% of steals, and 20.9% of fouls.

Here's one of the single most remarkable stat...
Xzavier Taylor, in two seasons, 61 games at center/low post including 25 starts - he averaged only 1.5 foul shots attempted per game...
?? Why did nobody ever show this guy how to "go up strong & draw fouls"????
Mike Shaw is even WAY worse - played even MORE minutes than Xzavier Taylor and attempted only 11 free throws!!!!!

Cunningham just tweeted that he is gone. Its official now. I'm glad I dont have to coach college basketball and rely on 18 year old kids to make a living. Sick of all the AAU BS and the "handlers" who all have their hands out for a profit and could really care less about the kids in the long run. What a bunch of pond scum. Lets hope we get enough players to field a team next year. Not sad to see this group go though. Let the house cleaning begin!

While Cunningham's rebounds per game (7.5) as a freshman were decent, wait until his potential suitors get a peek at his long-range shooting stats - JC was 15-64 from three point range (23.4%) - 64 attempts is a large enough of a sample size to indicate that he wasn't very proficient from long distance. I think he and Chin must've had some sort of a deal with Geno that JC could shoot from wherever and whenever he wanted. Good luck getting 30 starts as a third-year sophomore 18 months from now. We finished DEAD LAST in the MVC with Cunningham and Taylor this year - DEAD LAST! We're not in a position to compete for the upper half of the conference next year with our without them.

              From Dave Reynolds twitter

Sources say four more Bradley players -- Sutherland, Amerson, Morgan and Wells -- to transfer along with Cunningham and Taylor.

First time I have seen Morgans name come up..... One year of Max > One year of Morgan

Maybe the fact that these players don't want to play for a disciplinarian coach speaks to the problems we have had recently.

Not that anymore confirmation was really needed but Brian Wardle just confirmed on Jim Mattson's radio show that Josh will be granted his release effective Friday.

Honestly, good riddance! Nobody wants a cancer that is going to be selfish and a problem in he locker room. I'll take 12 guys that want to play for coach Wardle and leave everything on the floor. Time for a fresh start with 12 players that understand what it means to wear Bradley across the front of their chests.

Forgive me for not weeping at the loss of a team that finished dead last in the MVC.

Let the new guy bring his boys in and let's see what they can do. No reason to rip the bandaid off slowly.

                            The Transfers Are Ok

I think that the transfers are ok. Sure, we will miss the talent of Josh Cunningham, but we don't need only rebounders, we need all skills on the court. Josh was a bright spot, no question, but Coach Wardle will get good players in here. Even if he is new to the effort, he is not new to the Chicago area. His skill in recruiting results to remote Green Bay, will pay off handsomely with Bradley being closer to the Chicago area. Maybe he gets a late start in the recruiting season being new? I am not sure.

My opinion, correct me if I am wrong, is that Coach Ford brought in the best players he could, but they were the less talented players because he wasn't effective in the top tier. Coach Wardle will be able to tap into top tier talent. Dick Versace reconnected Bradley to top Chicago talent. I am optimistic that Coach Wardle will as well.

Coach Wardle will guide the players to grow and he will insist they are focused and play well. Discipline will exist. The inmates won't run the asylum. He will get more out of less. I feel with Coach Wardle we would have won a few more games with last years talent.

With one scholarship to offer, if all players stayed, I thought, we are going to get nowhere soon. If the kids transfer, we have that many more scholarships to offer to a pool of talent superior to the talent reachable by Coach Ford.

Are we so soon forgetting a nine win season? Getting beat by Augustana?? Come on man!! Let's not forget how BAD it was. Beside Josh Cunningham, I wonder if it matters at all that we will lose some players, because we can replace them with better talent and they will be better coached.

I'm not as schooled in NCAA BB as many of you are, but we have a winner for a Coach now. It was so bad. It can only get better, no matter who remains form last year, and it will. Lets think positively.

Go Braves and Go Coach Wardle!!!!!!
