With the naming of a new coach and not retaining any of the old coaching staff at Green Bay, there are strong rumors that possibly all 3 of Coach Wardle's recruits at Green Bay will ask to be released from their Letter of Intent. It is yet to be seen whether they will be released or whether there will be any restrictions on where they are allowed to commit.
Here are the 3 players currently committed to Green Bay-
Shooting guard Antoine Pittman
Point guard Joel Okafor-
Power forward Julian Torres-

Linc Darner is supposed to be well-connected in Indiana (came from Purdue and has several Indiana & Ohio kids on his roster now)
- so the GB fans think they ought to hold on to Okafor (Richmond, IN)
All are good recruits - so I'd take them all...
but if allowed only one.....Rockford Auburn's Pittman is the one I want..
BTW one of UW-Green Bay's freshmen, Daeshon Francis, one of their regular rotation players, is also leaving & transferring.
He's from Indianapolis, betcha he knows Drew Adams...

Wisconsin-Green Bay reporters are confirming that 2 of the UWGB commits have stated that they will ask for their release- PF Julian Torres and SG Antoine Pittman, and the the third commit, PG Joel Okafor has not stated yet what he'll do.
As already noted, one of the UWGB rostered players, freshman Daeshon Francis, has also asked to be released to transfer.

Of the 3 UWGB commits, Julian Torres has already been released, and now shooting guard Antoine Pittman has reportedly received his release-
The only remaining commit yet to make a decision is point guard Joel Okafor.

Here's a story from this weekend on Okafor being named the Richmond area's player of the year by the local newspaper: http://www.pal-item.com/story/sports...evil/26015531/
He was his team's starting point guard since Day 1 and its most prolific scorer, yet his coach said "he truly did care about his teammates more than himself."
I really hope he's soon a Bradley Brave point guard.
EDIT TWO HOURS LATER -- Ask and you shall receive! Welcome to Bradley, Joel! We can't wait to see you play!Last edited by BUSongwriter; 04-20-2015, 11:48 AM.Yajusneverno!

New Green Bay head coach Linc Darner fills two of the open scholarships vacated by Antoine Pittman & Joel Okafor -
with a pair of twin recruits from Florida...who seem like quality players but they are identical, which I guess gives you backup if either ever get hurt
