  • SIU Losing a starter

I didn't see this posted elsewhere yet.
Jordan Caroline is going to transfer.

    That is unfortunate for Barry.

      Caroline's statement:
""My desire to play at the highest level of college basketball was the primary factor in my decision"
clearly says he thinks his talent is too good to play in the MVC...
      welcome Marcus Arnold-light...and Ben Coupet
betcha dollars to donuts he is being "advised" by a few people

I am not seeing it. Nice player but too good for the MVC? Come on. SMH

I don't think anyone on SIU proved themselves 'too good' for the MVC this year.

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

Make that 2 players. Lavender is also transferring.

I don't take his statement as saying "he" is too good for the MVC. I take it as "he" would like to play against better competition. He may feel he can be a better player by playing against better competition. It is not unusual for competitive people to want to be challenged by better competition. He also may want to play in a post season tournament (NCAA or NIT), and sees his chances are slim of doing that at SIU-C.

We may find that Josh Cunningham is in the same boat. If Josh were to leave, I wouldn't think he feels he is too good to be at Bradley or in the MVC. I would take it as he wants to be challenged by playing against better competition and getting into a legitimate tournament (NCAA).

I would hope he wouldn't think he was too good for Bradley. For a top 100 player he would have to have better stats than what he had this past season.
What part of illegal don't you understand?

This is the 5th player to leave SIU since the end of the season.
                  ..they comprise SIU's 2nd, 4th, 5th, 8th, & 10th leading returnee scorers.
They seem to have a full scale melt-down there...
