Wardle can use all of the available scholarships for next year if he wants. The only problem with that is, often times you recruit a player that doesn't develop like you had hoped. Then you have scholarships tied up with players that don't contribute. He can't afford to miss very often on judging potential talent. The talent level overall is much higher, from top to bottom of the league, in the Valley as opposed to the Horizon. With that in mind, the level of recruit a coach brings into the Valley, must be better than the level of recruit brought into the Horizon.
If stability is to be restored to the program, he can't have a revolving door of recruiting players that transfer after their freshman or sophomore year. That helped get Ford into a huge mess.
Wardle must be given a chance, however, I don't think he'll have the honeymoon with the fans, three to four years to show improvement, that Ford had. People want to see results and the university can't afford otherwise.
