  • Weekly Rankings

This week's CHN Top 50 still has four MVC teams, WSU (dropped from #15 to #25), MSU (stayed at #28 ), SIU (jumped from #40 to #36), and UNI (jumped up from #46 to #39), but Bradley is not in the rankings.

The weekly AP Poll and Coaches Poll are out.

The AP Poll has 4 MVC teams getting votes (WSU, MSU, SIU, and UNI) but none in the Top 25.

The Coaches Poll also has Creighton getting votes so five of the top 40 teams are MVC, but again none of the Top 25 are MVC.

Might as well get used to it. Here is what I said in another thread regarding this very thing:

"This season is gonna be very comical to watch and listen to the mouth-pieces. I think someone should save all the articles, comments, etc and put them in a file to save them for later.

Someone already mentioned in another thread how we can say goodbye to our only ranked team from our conference. I think he may be right.

The pollsters are NOT gonna know what to do with the MVC. They will only want to rank one team, but which one will be the problem.

So we will see 3-5 MVC teams high amongst those receiving votes with one cracking in from time to time.
What is truely sad... the NCAA Selection Committee takes into consideration of how high and how long you are/were ranked. What a stinkin sham! The pollsters are biased to protect their own interests (and their own conferences/teams to boost money revenue from the tourney that they help determine the field for based on their polls)."
