I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

Does everyone think this is just some bizarre coincidence?
I think we all know that it is not. This is all part of a complex, and comprehensive plan to rebuild the Bradley administration and athletic department.
Is it just a fluke that all 3 of these firings were predicted right here? Even the hiring of Chris Reynolds was predicted. And it is a good bet that the next head coach is also someone who was part of this plan.
I found your comments to be of hope. You mentioned that the parting from the university of all (3)... JG, MC and GF are unprecedented moves. I respect your opinion very much. This unprecedented move is encouraging. It tells me the BOTs is very serious about restoring BU Men's BB to MVC competitiveness. Am I right to come to this conclusion?
As I look back to the 70's and forward, I think that Dick Versace was the best thing to ever happen to Bradley BB from that time and forward. What do you think?

I would enjoy seeing JG introduce him.

most new hires would want to go get their own players - certainly Geno did...
Geno brought in 5 or 6 or even as many as 8 new ones every year
what's a bit simpler here is that there are ZERO future scholarships committed - so any new hire doesn't have the uncomfortable chore of telling a kid to go somewhere else vs. taking an incoming kid he did not recruit.
I suspect at least 3 or 4 scholarships will be open this spring for the new hire to get started but there's not a whole lot of talent just waiting out there for an offer --
It'll be interesting - will we go after the transfer market?
What I hope for more than anything is midwestern kids who can shoot the ball.
We will never beat many teams shooting 20-30%

btw - did you see this...
The Loyola fans are already talking about hiring Chin Coleman as soon as they can and then expecting maybe Cunningham to transfer? - http://www.ramblermania.net/forum/vi...hp?f=12&t=1098
Coleman may be headed to Loyola, but I'm pretty sure Cunningham won't end up there - there's no way he sits out two years (per MVC in-conference transfer rules).

Here is a blogger from Wisconsin-Green Bay reporting about Brian Wardle, who is likely to be Bradley's next coach -
Also, here is a thread from the Marquette board with their thoughts about Wardle to Bradley-
Here is Wardle's record in 5 seasons as UW-GB's head coach-
Season.... School....... Conf..... G...W...L.....W-L%
2010-11...Green Bay..Horizon..32..14..18.. .438
2011-12...Green Bay..Horizon..30..15..15.. .500
2012-13...Green Bay..Horizon..34..18..16.. .529
2013-14...Green Bay..Horizon..31..24...7... .774
2014-15...Green Bay..Horizon..33..24...9... .727
Career....Green Bay..Horizon..160..95..65.. .594
Notes: Green Bay won the regular season Horizon League title in 2013-14.
Wardle has never won the Horizon League Tournament, and never appeared in the NCAA Tournament. He has made it to the NIT the past 2 seasons, going 0-2.

there's also talk that if the dominoes fall right - the DePaul job may be offered to Wardle -
he might be thinking - why should I jump at the BU job until I know I am not going to have a shot at DePaul...
it would be hard to turn down since they were paying Purnell almost $2 mil per year
Alabama waiting to offer $3 mil to Gregg Marshall

Having Kirk Wessler tell us what we need in a coach at Bradley is laughable. Wessler was Geno's biggest fan and apologist. We hired the right A.D. and if he needs help finding the right guy he has a list of people he has played under and worked for that will help. Kirk needs to go back in the corner and hug his Geno bobble head.
