hey - when Bradley isn't winning - what else would we have to talk about if the PJS shut down their sports department?

He has been a disgrace as a writer for the past four years. The non-sense he has fed us from the beginning of the Ford era to its end has been pathetic. Our new coach, who ever it may be, deserves a fresh start with the local media and getting rid of DR is the way to do it. Pretty simple task, re-assign him to a different job at the paper.
Have to agree with mrcoachdude. I'm sure if we hire someone with an ego like Geno's ,Dave and Kirk will have as much access to the program as they had the last 4 years. By the way did Dave take your girlfriend to Prom?

I hope Dave continues as the BU beat writer. He is very good, though I think he lost a bit of his usual objectivity these last couple years by becoming too close friends with Geno and appearing to want him to succeed so much it affected opinions a lot of times. I won't repeat all the instances again, such as the "impact players" and "stellar recruits" comments that were never accurate, but overall Dave does a fine job and is a great guy.

Fair and objective is the last thing Reynolds is. Didn't know he had this many relatives that read this forum. Maybe he can go with Geno and be his P.R. man, thats what he's done the last four years. Peoria deserves better and so does Bradley basketball. To think of the really good writers who have covered BU basketball in the past, Max Siebel and Dick Lien, and to think we are stuck with this guy. Our new A.D. is a sharp cookie, it won't take him long to figure out how bad Reynolds is, knowing his contacts in town I am sure he has been warned about both Reynolds and Glasser's old sidekick Kirk Wessler.

Here's an idea....don't read the columns.........Our AD has other things to worry about other than PJS............

but if I have an opinion on what's written and have never read them - then you'd really have ammo to slay me...
BTW - here's the latest long laundry list of Kirk Wessler's requirements for our next coach...
I can assume what he's saying is that Geno couldn't coach either offense or defense, scheduled too soft, went after way too many juco kids, and he doesn't like assistants at the Big Five schools

bingo - anyone in the top admin at a major school who gets worked up over a few fans' opinions on message boards ought to be investing way more effort into the job they are doing and a lot less time reading the boards
Actually the fans & media were 100 times more hostile back 10-12 years ago when JL was hired over WM and angry columns ripping that decision and the fans who favored it appeared over and over for years...and I don't recall anyone at BU really breaking any sweat over it.
