Big announcement coming from new AD Chris Reynolds- Geno fired

I am hearing that the athletic department personnel are being told to prepare for a major announcement. Some sports information people were called back to Peoria from remote sites.
I have heard different reports that the announcement could be Sunday, but I believe it will more likely be Monday.
And the purpose is what every fan expects. It will be the end of the GF era.

It sounds as if Geno will be allowed to meet with the players tomorrow before the announcement is made.

With the news leaking out to us here at BF.com, it may force the official announcement to come sooner. But as of now, it will be Monday.

I hope for his sake it doesn't get announced tomorrow. He deserves the opportunity to tell the players himself.

We are hearing that some of the top Bradley Athletic Department officials are in Omaha, where they are assisting with the 2015 NCAA Tournament 2nd and 3rd round games that were awarded to Omaha back in 2012, when Creighton was part of the MVC. Those Omaha games are scheduled to be played Sunday night (Wichita State vs. Kansas at 4:15 PM and Oregon vs. Wisconsin at 6:45 PM).
The Bradley people will be missing a couple great games, but if these reports are true, they are needed back on campus, and would not have been able to make it back in time for the announcement, unless they headed back early.

That is also true. Bradley students' spring break is March 14-22, so some may not be back on campus until Sunday night. But they especially needed the Sports Info people.

if it happens this way -with proper preparations, with the PROPER personnel being the ones to make the announcement, and giving the people involved the time to do the necessary things - then I appreciate the stark contrast with the way this was done the last time, just with a command, and then the info being leaked to a blogger in Chicago, then immediately banning the coach from talking to his players or setting foot on campus...
Kudos to Chris who has already shown a ton of class in his first week on the job..

I have heard several rumors from people saying Chris Reynolds has already made a choice for Bradley's new coach. I always appreciate a good rumor as much as anyone, but from my sources, which seem pretty reliable, such rumors do not appear to be true. Yet.

Recall the original report posted here way back on Feb. 9, and which was declared to be "not true" by Bradley and which we were asked to remove (and which hundreds of members received by Private Message)- note that report has now proven to be completely true with the firing of Michael Cross, and the quick hiring of Chris Reynolds. Also note that there were a couple other parts to that report, and some of them may yet still happen, despite the attempts by some to derail it. We are hearing it will all start tomorrow.

And not a moment too soon. I am really hoping everything plays out the way the rumor was originally leaked. Wichita State could lend us a helping hand in getting everything in motion as soon as possible. Go Shockers!!
