I have often wondered how hard Geno worked to keep Remy Abel. The whole courtship seemed to end rather quickly.

most players are not that interested in playing for coaches that do not recruit them..
If they stay and try to get playing time - like Nate Wells - they might ride the pines for years and waste their careers even if they are better than the players brought in
Not sure why Indiana & Tom Crean gave Remy such a raw deal - all he's done is help Xavier to the Sweet Sixteen
He'd have been a fine player in the MVC but it's just speculation now
