We have a new AD......now we need a new head coach for a complete fresh start to get back competitive in the Valley again and fill the Carver Arena seats! GO Braves!
Things are not always fair...I have believed & said right from the start that Geno was hired & paid plenty to try to function in a position with endless and impossible "upper level meddling" and "micromanagement".
You can search this message board for those posts but even Kirk Wessler said exactly the same thing.
Despite Geno's abilities & talents, the situation doomed him from the outset and even the "upper level meddling" that forced out Willie Scott and then pushed to bring in the Chicago connection and AAU ties - likely created as many problems (especially recruiting problems going forward that now leave us with nothing coming in here in 2015 or 2016) as it was supposed to solve.
Now some AAU programs that produce tons of solid midmajor kids - we can't even get a call back or get in their gym.
Believe what you want - but the problem was never really just Geno - and it started well before Geno was hired and even doomed the coach before him...
