Against a team who had just fired their coach the Illini come up with their most embarrassing loss in some time in losing by 22 to Alabama. They got down as much as 29 in the first halfand spent the rest of the game losing by at least 20. Just pathetic. We've had some mind numbing losses in the past few years but I think this one tops them all. Stanford leading UC Davis 19-11 at the 12 minute tv timeout. By the way there are 2 changes taking place during the NIT. The circle under the basket is 4 feet instead of 3 feet and the shot clock is at 30 seconds instead of 35.

Down 17 at the half Mississippi comes from behind and beats BYU 94-90. March Madness indeed. UC Davis was down by 11 with 6 minutes to go but have come back to be down 37-36. Corey Hawkins was spectacular scoring 21 in the 1st half. By the way the head coach for Stanford, Johnny Dawkins, is the god father of Corey.

Hawkins is having a fantastic game. He may need some help the second half.

If I'm Stanford I isolate Marcus Allen on Les any chance I get. He can't stop him

Should be a good second half though

Stanford outscored UC Davis 23-9 in the 1st 10 minutes of the 2nd half and never looked back as they won 77-64. Corey Hawkins had 34 points and was outstanding but the rest of his teammates did not play very well. UC Davis came into to game leading the NCAA in 3 point shooting at nearly 50% but could only make 9 out of 24 from 3. Tyler Les, who came into the game 4th overall in 3 point shooting, was just 2-7 from 3. Stanford made an amazing 19 layups, they were 23-38 from 2, and were 8-17 from 3. The guys on TV believe that Corey can make it in the NBA and I agree. Having not seen him play before he reminded me of Steph Curry. Hersey might have had a quicker shot but his son can handle the ball better. Hopefully he can get on a team who can utilize his skills.

Corey was outstanding but no help from his teammates last night but, guess what, they still got to play on national TV against a decent Stanford team while BU sat at home.

UCD hung in for awhile but it looked like they just wore down as the game went on both ends. They couldn't keep Stanford from driving and the UCD bigs couldn't help inside to stop them??¦

Still a great year for UCD...

I'd love to have just one season where we do the 1st and don't do the 2nd..

Love the way Kenny played, and love the way he speaks his mind.
