I heard on a Chicago radio station today that Loyola has paid $100,000 to play in their post season tournament. That includes entry fees and guaranteed ticket purchases for home games.

The people on the radio said the $100,000 would pay for a lot of plane tickets and recruiting expenses.

Loyola leads ULM 61-60 with about 2 minutes left. If they can hold the lead, they will win the CBI. It has been a close game all the way.
Box score for the Loyola Chicago Ramblers vs. UL Monroe Warhawks NCAAM game from April 1, 2015 on ESPN. Includes all points, rebounds and steals stats.

The game is televised on the CBSSports Network. It is cable channel 531 and 963 on Comcast.

Note: There are 2 NCAA rule changes that are being tested- they are using the 30 second shot clock, and the larger arc under the basket to define charging calls.

For as bad as the MVC was suppose to be this year all of the teams that played in the post season have done a great job so congratulations to all of the teams.
I can see the return of the MVC to a top notch league over the next couple of years.
Congratulations to Loyola and good luck to Evansville tonight.

Even with the terrible season the MVC had, we still finished 11th in RPI (from the page I looked it up on, at least). That's pretty darn good as abysmal as the bottom of the conference was.

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

The game is at Evansville, and the Aces are an 8 point favorite.

..probably the first time the MVC has won two post-season tournaments

we're gonna need Max next year!

We'll have to win the NCAA and NIT next year, I guess.

it is impressive given that we all knew the very top of the MVC (WSU, UNI) was strong...
but the lead weights hanging at the bottom of the MVC were still bad enough to drag our overall Conference RPI down to about as low as it's been since the 90's

The MVC was 11th in the Pomeroy rankings heading into the postseason. Their impressive postseason performance sent them past the MAC, AAC, and WCC into 8th currently.

Wichita State moved from 11 to 10.
UNI moved from 9 to 11.
Illinois State moved from 59 to 52.
Loyola moved from 144 to 129.
Evansville moved from 133 to 103.
