#3 seed Illinois' arena is already undergoing renovations, and thus they will play a road game at #6 seed Alabama.

And as noted elsewhere, Alabama has already fired their coach Anthony Grant today. Should be interesting.

That's insanity.

Temple had a 25 point win over Kansas and not much else noteworthy other than a home win over Cincy, who spanked them on the road. I saw them against Tulsa twice, and they were just brutal. No surprise that they missed out. The head of the committee said they were the team knocked out when Wyoming won the MWC tourney. Colorado State didn't have much going for it either, although they did have a better top 100 record than Temple. Their SOS was not good, but neither was Boise State's, and they snuck in somehow.

With 4.9 seconds to go, they took and ill advised 3 point attempt (only down by 1 point) missed, and got fouled on the rebound.

But it was a 57 percent FT shooter and the line and he missed both. 2.9 ISU fouls and OD misses the front end of a 1 and 1. But ISU can't get the inbounds pass in.

Actually ISU lead 28-27 early in the 2nd half---they covered the point spread but poor free throw shooting killed them ( one of their freshman missed 2 free throws at the end that would have won the game). ODU beat Murray State on a last second shot and they now head to Madison Square Garden. Higher seeds (home courts) mostly prevailing in the NIT
