  • Jeremy Crouch out with knee injury

Has anyone heard how JC knee is?

I haven't heard anything per say........but if it was real bad the staff wouldn't have let him walk off the court under his own power!

      From Reynolds article:

"Jeremy Crouch limped to the bench with 1:40 remaining and did not return. Les said Crouch felt a twinge and was having trouble running, but didn't know the extent of the injury."

It is true that Jeremy's right knee injury is reportedly more serious than first thought. He will could miss several weeks. I am sure Bradley will make an announcement soon about it.

Losing Jeremy would be a huge blow to this team's chances of finishing 2006-2007 successfully enough to get an NCAA bid.

Danny Adams and freshman Andrew Warren would need to step up and give BU more quality minutes. I think they can do it. But I just finished posting that I thought Jeremy, Will, and Daniel Ruffin have been our MVPs so far. And to lose an MVP and the top scorer, is a huge loss.

Here's hoping Jeremy can make a full recovery soon, and lead the Braves into the postseason.

jeremy fell about a foot in front of me and it looked between coming down wrong on his legs and colliding with zach and aslinger is what caused the tweak, he didn't look like he was in too much pain but under all the adrenaline, he probably wasn't feeling it.
I'm hoping for maybe just a strain or sprain and nothing serious, though it doesn't seem like the case, and i'm pushing for a full and speedy recovery.

That's really unfortunate for Jeremy. He's worked so hard to improve his game and become a major contributor to the team. I think DA and Warren can step-up and contribute, but tough break for JC to miss a few weeks.

                    Dang it!!!

I have always said 2 things can disrupt a team's season... injuries and felonies.

                    Get well JC.

That is horrible news, especially with the teams we will face within that time frame. Unfortunately, we are not much a post team, and without Crouch's contributions (especially from beyond the arc), we will miss a bulk from our scoring. The defense is going to have to step it up. We cannot allow teams to score as easily as E'ville did last night, especially down low. I think we could see Singh get some more minutes, especially for defensive purposes. He, Salley, and Warren will all need to step up their contributions.

I hate to be a negative nelly, but I just don't see how we can overcome this loss. We came into this season looking for someone to make that Jerome Robinson-esque ascension to the league's elite, and JC turned out to be that guy. We were already short-handed due to our departures, and could not afford any long-term injuries. This is one of the worst things that could happen for a team that was making a very strong push for an NCAA bid. I feel for JC big time, he's worked so hard to make himself better, and I love watching him play. I think this is going to be nearly impossible to overcome, but pray that I am wrong.

The PJ Star article this morning seemed to say that Jeremy wasn't going to have his MRI until today.
"is scheduled to undergo an MRI X-ray on the knee"

The writer for the paper is constrained by what Bradley has released publically. I noticed that none of the local sports reporters on the TV news had anything to say about JC's injury.
