Brimfield easily won their Class 1A semifinal this afternoon over Colfax Ridgeview HS 53-34.
In the other semifinal, Mounds Meridian pulled away to win easily over Forreston HS 50-35.
Brimfield will play Mounds Meridian Saturday at 2:00 PM for the state title.
In the first Class 2A semifinal game tonight, Decatur St. Teresa is leading Taylor Ridge Rockridge HS 21-11 at halftime in a low-scoring game. Former Bradley recruit Christian Williams is clearly a D1 caliber recruit, including playing good defense that helped hold Rockridge to just 11 points in the first half. St. Teresa has been holding their opponents to 35 points or less throughout the state tournament. Williams does seem to loaf a bit at times and rely mainly on his height and athleticism.
The other 2A semifinal will match Chicago Uplift Academy against Breese Mater Dei HS starting at 8:15 PM.
