WOAE signal froze. CSN Channel 56 (Comcast) had a good signal. I know it is to late for the 1A games but may come in handy if it freezes again this evening for 2A.

Anybody know if IHSA uses different basketball standards and rims than Bradley uses? The sound and bounce off the rims is nothing like it is when Bradley plays. These IHSA rims appear to be very "soft."

Don't know. But maybe Bradley should switch to their rims. These kids shoot better than the Bradley team does now.

They are the same standards, backboards and rims.

Our TV production truck is here doing the games. I'm fairly certain the rims and everything are the same as they are for BU games. We were up there hanging basket cameras and microphones and didn't notice anything different.

It is always nice to see a team playing as a team. It seems to happen more often in the small schools.

The Uplift team has a couple kids who look like they could be good D1 players.

                              Future State Tourney Location?

Slightly OT, but, has decision been reached yet on future tourney location?

no - it was talked about quite a bit with some of the announcers really favoring Peoria but some comments led to think there's gonna be a shift of the large class (3A & 4A) up closer to Chicago

The decision will be announced this Friday

"The prevalent feeling around Peoria is that the event is staying put.
"I'd be 100 percent shocked if it left," WHOI sports director Jim Mattson said.
"For 20 years, Peoria has done a good job. If it's not broke, don't fix it.
The IHSA knows what they have in Peoria."

The next contract is expected to be issued for five years, starting with the 2016 state finals."
