There have been several posters that have belittled the efforts by UC Davis. However, I think most have done that to nettle certain people. I do believe that every post about Les by a few people are all negative.

Don't understand why anyone would submit posts to belittle UCD or JL. He may not have been what we needed here as a coach but he sure was as a player and a good representative of our school and program. I hope now that the Prez is leaving , fences can be mended and Jim can someday return. This administration has burnt so many fences. It would be nice to see the Braves that have been offended return and help a program in shambles.

You may not understand it, but I have already had a couple people who were among the loudest anti-JL people a few years ago, tell me they are now rooting hard for Jim and UC Davis to lose. The JL-hatred runs a lot deeper than some people realize. And I believe it is even stronger now that he has had success this year and built a winning team out of almost nothing at UCD, while Bradley still is struggling to get out of last place.

the people who have that much hate have probably made their own lives miserable but even worse- they kinda helped bring about this worst four year stretch Bradley has ever seen or ever even imagined even tho they claimed "we'd be better right away"!

I think the UC Davis story is a story worthy of note to the many people in the Peoria area who loved Hersey and Jim as players, those who liked Jim as a coach, and to anyone interested in great basketball stories. Jim Les has taken over a moribund basketball program at UCD and built it into a winner in an improved conference that has been dominated by other programs for years.

And as I predicted, the PJ Star has finally noted the success that Jim Les had this season.

Does anyone else find it interesting that the article was written by some freelance sports writer named Joseph D'Hippolito? I guess Dave and Kirk were a bit too busy, or just couldn't bring themselves to write anything nice about Coach Les.

UCD hangs with Stanford in NIT 1st rnd till mid 2H. Overcame a couple defecits as well.

Too many missed bunnies and TO's kept UC-D chasing Stanford until they ran out of gas. Gave them a good game.

Hadn't watched JL since he went to UCD. Still rocking the sideline foot stomp and endearing himself to officials...
