I don't think there's a single bubble team in the MVC - Wichita & UNI are locks and nobody else is even close
But I have been watching some of the Big Ten games today...
and the talk is constantly about the bubble teams...
I have heard some say even Iowa or Michigan State are bubble teams - but I disagree --
all three are solid and have Top 40 RPIs - so they should be in
The Big Ten bubble teams are Purdue, Indiana, Illinois - but I think the winner of today's Purdue Illinois game is in barring early embarrassing losses in their tourney - but Indiana is out because of the sweep by Purdue, their loss to Northwestern and their home loss, almost an Iowa blowout, to the Hawkeyes.
Now they look weak on their home court vs. Michigan State...
game is not over yet - but looking bad for IU.
btw - if you are not watching the IU-Michigan State game you are missing a really funny job by Dan Dakich the color analyst..
it is widely known that he holds an intense grudge against Indiana & Tom Crean for not being retained when he was the interim head coach after Kelvin Sampson was fired. Anyway - he's constantly jabbing and aiming barbs at Crean with his criticisms of their game plan, their lapses, their coaching miscues... then he swings a mile off topic just to tell some irrelevant story about him or Bobby Knight at IU and the legendary careers they had there...
he doesn't do much of a job of hiding his sentiments.
also - on the bench with Tom Crean is assistant Rob Judson -
