Wichita might just have the easiest 1st round matchup in the history of Arch Madness. ISU Red and Evansville should be a good one. UNI reminds me of some of the Molinari teams, control the pace on offense and get after it on defense. We have no shot against Drake and I think the Bulldogs might give the Panthers a game for a while because of how well they can shoot it at times but UNI will wear the down. In the last game I think Loyola has a hell of a chance to beat ISU Blue as the Sycamores are just not that impressive, might be the worst 3rd place team in Valley history. Don't expect anybody but Wichita and UNI in the finals for the rubber match and automatic bid. Should be one hellava game and atmosphere. Who can impose their will on the other? Who can make the big plays down the stretch? As much as I enjoy watching how UNI gets after it Baker and Van Fleet will once again make enough plays down the stretch for the Shockers to win. For the Panthers to have any chance Seth Tuttle needs to be the best player on the floor.
That is quite an optimistic projection. Since they are in opposite sides of the bracket, the only way that could happen is if both teams advance to the Sunday final championship game, and they would have to upset UNI and WSU to get there.
