Wasn't Tim Althoff related to the Les family somehow. Did he marry Tom and Jim Les's sister?

I think I mentioned on here that Cal Criddle worked for the FBI after graduating but I think it was Ernie Thompson that actually worked for the FBI

EDIT: the 1968-69 Bradley Papooses that played without Rich Schultz were led by Sam Simmons and a 6'2 jumping jack forward from Memphis named Willie Fort (yet another in the collection of BU small jumping jack forwards-Ernie Thompson, Cal Criddle, Lamonia Barksdale) Fort averaged 17.7 pts for the frosh and then proceeded to flunk out of school(as did the 6'2 Barksdale a couple years later)
Rich Schultz was ineligible to play as a freshman (on the frosh team), due to a minimum grade requirement the NCAA had in place at the time. I don't remember the specifics of the rule, but it was a short lived rule.

If the three point shot and freshman eligibility was around in the 60's and 70's, many of the players that reached the 1,000 point club with four years of eligibility would be light years behind on those that weren't able to play four years of varsity.

I don't know about Ernie working for the FBI, but Cal worked in management for Sears for several year. He had a son (Calvin Wayne Jr.) that played for Nevada a few years ago, and was quite a player. I remember Cal very well. He was a 6-3 left hander from Oakland, CA., and very mean. He played his freshman through junior years and BU and then joined the army. After his stint in the army, he returned to BU for his senior year. I remember watching BU play Cincinnati at the fieldhouse, but I don't recall the year, and Cal got into a fight with Don Ogletree of Cincy. Cal hit Ogletree with a left hook that would have knocked out most people. It almost knocked Ogletree off the elevated floor in front of the scorers table at the fieldhouse.

As for Thompson, he was also a 6-3 to 6-4 forward from Saginaw, Michigan that could jump out of the gym. He was a lefthander and played baseball as well as basketball at Bradley. When BU made their appearance in the NCAA a couple years ago, Dave Snell interviewed Ernie when the Braves played in Michigan.

The undefeated Bradley Papooses(14-0) played their final game of the season vs the Notre Dame frosh team at Robertson Memorial Fieldhouse

The game started (as all Frosh games did) at 5:45 pm, prior to the nightcap contest- the BU varsity game vs Chicago St(the final home game for the varsity too)

Most fans usually wander in sometime during the second half of the Frosh contest-coming for the main event- the varsity contest to follow. Not this night. Most fans were in their seats prior to the tipoff of the Frosh contest.
I sort of expected someone to either ask me or mention what happened in the Bradley varsity game (vs Chicago St) that followed that night after the BU Frosh-ND Frosh game

Since no one mentioned it, I'll tell you:

The Bradley varsity set a single game scoring record with 127 points that evening.....127!...... All this was before the 3pt basket!

            Bradley 127 Chicago St 66

That Chicago St game is the all time Robertson Memorial Fieldhouse single game scoring record

The Braves broke that scoring record in their new home in 1987- with a 139 pts vs UC Irvine(the '71 Chicago St game is now 2nd all time)
