Selling points that make the AD job at Bradley way better than at many schools
and which make it a very desirable position that should draw a lot of interest...
-Great tradition
-Great fan base
-Top notch facilities
-Incredible local basketball environment, local interest, IHSA Finals, March Madness
-Proximity (from St. Louis to Chicago) to tremendous recruiting base
-And Bradley has demonstrated the willingness to do what it takes & spend what is required to win
-The going salary is way, way bloated above what any AD at just about any comparable school makes
(current AD salary cited at $290K - ISU pays their AD $200K, SIU was paying their guy only $176K)

Great fanbase? I'd go with Fair-weather fan base with below average student interest.Walk on, Walk on
With hope in your hearts,
and You'll Never Walk Alone

I will rebut that - for over 30 years, the BU home attendance ranked inside the TOP 40 to 50 among all DI schools & considerably better than a lot of the BCS programs.
Sure it is down now - but due to unique problems which would have devastated the fan base no matter where you'd look.
To cite anything regarding BU's fan base right now in the midst of all this turmoil & 5-year bottoming-out - is a little like measuring the temperature at the south pole then concluding earth is too cold of a planet for life to survive.
Even with the dropoff due to lousy play lately, BU still has about 5500 season ticket fan base - which is only 20% or so down from what it was in 2007
how many schools could go thru such a downturn and lose only 20% of their season ticket sales?
When this happened to SIU, their season ticket base & total attendance dropped by 60% almost overnite.
